Best lodging in 20 years at Starved Rock! Thank you Megan!
This year marks the 20th year my family has been coming to the Starved Rock area for Thanksgiving and our lodging made it the best ever! Our family cabin was warm and welcoming with special touches we’ve never experienced before. From fresh creamer in the fridge to yummy coffee and warm rugs and blankets throughout we were especially cozy and comfortable. Utensils were well supplied and even a can opener which I had forgotten! Very thankful on this Thanksgiving and will definitely be back next year for our 21st!!!
Thank you so very much. You were a perfect guest. Keep us in mind in the future. Megan
The abode is amazing, very spacious, while remaining cozy. My only complaints are about finding the actual location; the grounds are kind of a maze, made especially difficult when arriving after sunset.
I went with friends for a weekend to play board games so we sat for extended periods of time. The seats are hard and start to hurt. This shouldn't be an issue at all if you sit for a "normal" amount of time.
I would definitely recommend for pretty much everyone, but try to arrive before the sun goes down and get a map from the main resort if you are able. I would definitely stay here again.
Cute and Comfy
A well appointed, cozy, clean and quiet cabin unit! Great location with hiking and good food options close by. The beds were comfortable and the towels thick. Plenty of hot water for the jetted tub and showers. Furnished with coffee, sugar, salt & pepper, kitchen utensils plus pots and pans. Bring your favorite bath soap and shampoo.
Entry into unit was simple and we appreciate the “no shoes on carpet”! It was perfect for our family of seven and we hope to use this unit again. Many thanks to Megan for sharing and all the cute cabin touches!!!
Thank you Debbie. You guys were perfect guests. Glad your family enjoyed their stay.
We love this spot so much we keep coming back!
We always enjoy a weekend hiking at Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks, and staying in this wonderful spot makes it even better! Tucked away in the woods, it's a terrific place to relax and regenerate. We loved the special seasonal decorations, they really made the villa even more welcoming. We've been recommending this property to our friends and colleagues as the best-kept secret in Illinois getaway history!
Thank You Patti.
Great place to stay. Everything there you will need. Very clean.
This villa is a great place to stay. Working with Meghan was awesome. This is the second time we have stayed here and will stay again when we are back in the area.
Great place to stay, nice and clean and very close to Starved Rock state park.
Had a very good time staying here for a couple of days. Very clean and well kept, and very spacious. The kitchen was great, nice and open with lots of room, fireplaces were nice and actually give a lot of heat. Nice and close to Starved Rock. Overall a great place to spend for our anniversary!
