Great facility in a great location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a month at Midi. It was perfect for us. First, the location. It is in a residential neighborhood out of the hurly burly of the more touristy areas. We bought at the local markets and patronized the local restaurants. As a result, we were soon recognized and considered part of the neighborhood. As I would go out to the boulangerie each morning, locals would stop me to ask what we were doing today or just to say hello. It was a great way to learn the way Parisians really live.

Second, the apartment. Midi has everything you would need. Security is superb. The refrigerator, while typically European in size, would freeze milk or orange juice in the main compartment – you have to turn it down a bit. It is also very quiet. Of course, that is a two-way street. It is quiet because the neighbors are considerate. You need to be equally considerate. If you can’t live without your boom box playing or have a need to watch movies on TV at high volume, maybe go somewhere else.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention moving in and moving out. The apartment manager has devised a clever way to put you in control of your move in and move out which takes the stress out of these events.

There are 5 metro stops within easy walking distance (each covering different lines). You can get anywhere easily. There are also a plethora of bus lines. It takes a while to figure those out since they are more complicated and there are so many to choose from. I can’t recommend strongly enough that you get the Pass Navigo Decouvert. It costs about 21 Euros a week and gives you unlimited use of the metro, the bus system, the commuter rail lines and the tram lines (which run primarily outside the city center and are not usually used by tourists). We used them all. People who analyze the Pass Navigo in financial terms (you have to use it XX number of times to beat the cost of buying individual tickets) miss the point. Having the Pass Navigo, you will use the various systems much more than you would if you were buying individual tickets. The Pass Navigo takes the transportation issue out of the planning equation.

In all events, I recommend Midi as a great facility in a great location for stays of a week or more.

We loved the apartment

  • 5 of 5

We loved the apartment! The location was excellent, with a metro station, shopping, and restaurants all within easy walking distance. We felt the area was safe and the apartment was secure. Everything we needed for our stay was supplied. The apartment was located at the rear of the building, accessed through a lovely courtyard; this placement removed virtually all traces of traffic noise so common to city spaces and provided ideal sleeping conditions -- important after a busy day of sightseeing. We would highly recommend this rental unit!

Great location and perfect place for two

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay on beautiful rue du Cherche Midi! You couldn’t choose a better location, literally steps away from wonderful restaurants, charming little bars, and shopping galore!

The apartment was neat and clean upon our arrival and we very much enjoyed the sunlight which came into the salon and the kitchen. When there was a small problem with the TV, it was addressed promptly and efficiently. The large tub was heaven to come home to after a long day of shopping and sightseeing.

Everything is close----a short walk to the beautiful Bon Marche with its outstanding food emporium, near the St. Sulpice church with its beautiful fountain and just a short distance from Luxembourg Gardens and trendy St. Germain. Two metro stops nearby, one directly in front of Eric Kayser, a delicious boulangerie.

A great location and a perfect place for two!

Ideal apartment for a Paris stay!

  • 5 of 5

My daughter, granddaughter and I stayed at this apartment for our week in Paris. Great location, very safe and quiet apartment. The apartment was airy, bright and the perfect home for us. Close to the Metro, restaurants and shops, we enjoyed our stay immensely. I recommend taking Jean-Noel's advice to take a cab from the airport.

Owner's Response: Hi Susan, Thanks for your nice review. We’re happy to hear that you, your daughter and granddaughter found the apartment location great and very safe and the apartment itself quiet. It’s true, it’s airy and bright apartment which feels homely. Taking a cab is more convenient than public transport considering crowds and bags. We hope that you’ll be able to visit Paris again. Sincerely, Jean-Noel

Perfect apartment

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for such a wonderful and comfortable stay in Paris. This was my first time in Paris and I was a bit nervous about where to stay, but this delightful apartment was perfect. Clean, comfortable, roomy, safe and peaceful sums up the qualities of this apartment. It is close to the grocery store and several high quality restaurants and cafés. We bought wine from the local grocery and enjoyed several peaceful evenings on the balcony overlooking the garden, sipping wine and relaxing. The kitchen is small by American standards, but large compared to most city apartments. It is well appointed with a coffee maker, pots, pans, plates, wine opener... Everything you need. The bed is very comfortable. The apartment is only about 2 blocks from the nearest metro where we were able to navigate the entire city of Paris without ever having to use a taxi or rent a car.

I confirm that the apartment is comfortable, roomy, safe, peaceful and well equipped with everything you need. As a plus, there is a balcony overlooking the garden to enjoy French wines and relax. The neighborhood is rich in offer of shops, restaurants and cafes. Having the metro in the vicinity makes the stay even more enjoyable – it is an easy and fast way to move around Paris. We thank you for staying with us and looking forward to hosting you again. Sincerely, Jean-Noel
