Beautiful Stay in a Beautiful Place
Monika and Enrique were the most kind and gracious hosts during our stay in Spain. They offered great recommendations for to-dos, and were all-round very hospitable. The grounds are beyond beautiful, and Enrique's work makes this place a masterpiece. A must stay for anyone travelling to Spain.
Absolutely fabulous home stay!
Beautiful accommodation with breathtaking views of the vineyard and mountains. Lovely, peaceful and quiet yet close proximity to many of the surrounding attractions. Charming hosts, Monica and Enrique. Special treat wandering through the vineyard and admiring Enrique's brilliant work in his many sculptures 👌 Highly recommended!
Hot, sunny and beautiful!
Such a gorgeous place to stay for our last three nights in Spain! The property and the apartment was everything that we expected and more! Very clean, and well equipped for us to cook in for all three evenings - after mostly restaurant food for >2 weeks. Comfy bed, large bathroom, lots of space and lovely views. Monika met us in town as pre-arranged, and then we never saw or heard anyone much at all until we left. Peaceful! Went in to Barcelona on the train from Vilafranca del Penedes for one of the days. Large free parking lot adjacent/around the corner from the train station, where we were able to park for the day. Were going to go to Sitges the next day, but as it was hot and we'd both been before, we opted to stay in and read and wander around the grounds admiring Enrique's unique and beautiful sculptures. I'd love to return someday! Cathy M.
The title says it all. A little off the beaten path but worth the effort. Views and sculpture garden are magnificent! Everything you need for a peaceful and romantic experience. Monika is very responsive to communication. Can't wait to come back and experience the idyllic setting again.

The location of the property amazing and mostly you hear little except birdsong. The view from bed (and everywhere else) is wonderful and the property itself is lovely with every considerate provision to make your stay very comfortable. Forming part of a beautifully restored wine estate, the grounds also include Enrique's sculture park as an extra bonus. There is loads of good walking from the doorstep and Gava beach / Barcelona are drivable in 45 minutes. The hosts are lovely and very helpful. Highly recommend Can Maginet for a tranquil retreat.
Wonderful place and hospitality
It was our best experience ever. For everybody who loves nature and art hardly recommended. We spent two weeks in this paradise and will try to get there again.
Recreate in absolute tranquillity amidst vineyards, pine woods, rosemary & thyme. Directly at the house there is a marked hiking trail & if you feel like enjoying the sea & beach, Sitges and Vilanova with wonderful family beaches are only 20 km away. Or you can visit Barcelona (35 km), Tarragona (50 km).
Golf: Several golf courts are reachable in 30 minutes. Club de Golf Sant Cugat, one of Spain’s oldest courts, 21 wholes, Par 70, adequate for every level, equipment rentable, open the year round. Real Club de Golf El Prat in Terrassa, 45 wholes, 72 Par, a very noble, manifold and entertaining course, swimming pool, tennis, equipment rentable, to be played all year, national and international tournaments. Can Cuyàs, San Feliu de Llobregat, 9 wholes, 3 Par, equipment rentable, open year round.
The property is located on the Garraf Nature Reserve:
With an extension of more than 12,000 hectares and a radius that includes up to nine of the region’s towns, the Garraf Nature Reserve is one of the most important biological reserves in Catalonia.
With a particular orography that combines the white of the limestone with low areas full of vineyards and dry stone walls, the Reserve offers a varied sampling of Mediterranean fauna and flora.
With regard to the flora, fundamentally comprised of large areas of scrubland, worth noting are the palm (an almost native and abundant species in the area), reeds (a plant that is hard to find outside the Reserve) and other species of African origin. We can also find less exotic shrubs, such as the mastic or the kermes oak.
The further we go into the Reserve, the scrubland makes way for woodlands. Thanks to their number and colorfulness, the Holm oak and Aleppo pine forests deserve a special mention. As for the fauna, there aren’t many species that have managed to make this area their own. We can find birds such as the blackbird and other less-known birds like the wheatear, the Ortelan bunting or the crested lark, and even the eagle or the falcon. We can also find species that have adapted their African origin to the area’s conditions: horseshoe whip snakes, vipers or salamanders. The Reserve’s geological characteristics have also led to the existence of species used to cavernous environments, for example the greater horseshoe bat. The most popular sports activity done here is spelunking, but it’s also great for climbing, trekking and mountain biking. Using the itineraries, which have different levels of difficulty, you can get to know all the Reserve’s different corners in depth. The Fondo de Vallgrassa itinerary allows you to enjoy excellent views of the massif and its surroundings, and the Masíes del Garraf itinerary takes you around the farmhouses scattered about the territory. And also in the center of the Reserve is the unique Plana Novella complex (a Buddhist Monastery).
There is also a sensory itinerary for the blind, where contact with the Reserve is strengthened by working with the stimuli that senses like hearing and smell can offer. Accessible for people with functional diversity, accommodations, parking and picnic area.
