Great Get-Away Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful lake view from the living room and house-length back porch. Enjoyed our stay and time with family. Short 1.5 hours or so from the GA was easy to make a daytrip to Jekyll Island, too. Lovely house...thank you!

That you mentioned my house is "very well put together", "charming", and "very functional", is greatly appreciated. I look forward to your future stay, if you happen to be working in the area, or want to get away for some R&R time, or for a special celebration.

Peaceful and serene

  • 4 of 5

Tammi was a great hostess and very responsive. The home was just as pictured but to future travelers, there is no specific driveway. The home is nestled behind a couple mobile homes and you drive through the grass to reach the home. The dock in pictures also appears to belong to an adjacent property since the rental property grounds were well maintained but the grass around the dock was about 2 feet high. No worries though, I caught plenty of fish and sunshine from the beautiful banks. Overall, the place is well kept and clean. The area is extremely quiet and the lake was still as glass all day except for a fish or two popping up to let me know they were there. I would recommend it to small groups of adults or those with older children. Stairs inside are particularly steep and open which could present a danger to the young ones.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home that was steps away from Lake Mayers. We traveled with our two children, ages 8 and 10. We had plenty of room for the 4 of us and could have easily accomodated 2 others. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We rode kayaks in the lake, went fishing, and the kids enjoyed paddling over to the beach area. The house is about an hour and half away from Jekyll Isand which has a beautiful beach and a water park. Tammi was wonderful to work with. We highly recommend this vacation home.

Nice property, convenient location, friendly owner!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lake Mayers house. It was clean, reasonably well stocked, and it has a nice porch overlooking the lake. Although it is a bit tight for 6 adults, it is great for a family with kids. The open floor plan is great for entertaining while preparing meals. We would definitely recommend this house or rent it again ourselves.

Spectacular view, pieceful environment

  • 5 of 5

My stay at this house was absolutely fantastic! I enjoyed the morning views, and the evening views on the lake. The only thing I regret is not having a boat and my fishing pole with me!
