We were vacationing in Maggie Valley and decided to purchase our own home. We then decided that we would share our home to others so that they may experience the same joy that we do everytime we go to Maggie.
Kathy purchased this cabin in 2000
Maggie is 25 minutes from Asheville and Cherokee, has many things to do in the surrounding area and is a quiet town.
It is a beautiful wooded lot to get away from the busy city life.
We enjoyed our stay and would rent the house again. We loved the quietness and peacefulness.
My husband and I and our 2 dogs enjoyed a week at Beary Creek. Its a very peaceful place. Our dogs loved the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. And the acorns!! Every time an acorn fell on the roof or the deck our dogs would growl. We had a great time exploring all the areas in and around Maggie Valley. We did get cool temps but only one day did we have to cut the heater on in the house. We left the sliding glass door in the living room open most of the time we were there and enjoyed the fresh air. Loved the porch and the railings were perfect with their gates so our dogs could enjoy the outdoor air too. Highly recommend this cabin and hope we can make another trip there again.
My fiancée and I stayed here in June 2016, and it was absolutely amazing. We were in North Carolina (we hail from Kansas) to see Dead & Company play in Charlotte, but wanted to explore the state a little bit...so so so glad we did! We travelled to Asheville, and it was beautiful and fun. We wanted to get closer to the mountains though...so very short notice (the night before, I think about 10pm) we found this listing on VRBO. The hosts were so kind and ensured that we made it there. I couldn't get the map to load with instructions on how to get to the home, but we gave them a call and they directed us there turn by turn...and we got exactly what we wanted, to be closer to the mountains...we were in them! Literally driving up in the mountain, taking sharp turns with steep climbs. The houses nested in here were all gorgeous, but when we got to Beary Creek, I knew we were somewhere special. The porch is where we spent pretty much all evening. My fiancée made his first fire here (his parents didn't take him camping when he was younger, sad!)...we stayed up all night watching the fire, listening to wildlife, and just enjoying the seclusion. The cabin had everything you could need for a long stay. It was perfect and cozy! This place is very special. It opened our eyes and hearts to what we really want. We are making a savings plan now so that we can build our own special cabin someday. Maggie Valley will always hold a special place in my heart, and even though we were only there for one night, it was the most magical night of my life. I cannot wait to come back and visit again.
The cabin was perfect for our family trip. We spent 4 nights at the cabin with our family and our dogs. The deck with the gates was perfect for our pets. The dogs were able to lay around outside on the deck and entertain themselves. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck playing cards and listening to music. The cabin is clean and well appointed with cable, internet, and fully equipped kitchen. There is a pit in the backyard - perfect for an evening sitting by the fire. The house feels much more isolated than it is - love that. I highly recommend for a relaxing vacation. Waynesville is nearby for dinner and shopping. Best of all was the temperate of 72 degrees in the middle of July. We are now missing that cooler weather. Kathy was great to deal with - extended our stay by 1 night because we were not anxious to leave.
Very nice cabin close to everything yet off the beaten path. Super covered deck to enjoy the cool evenings and grill out. Owner is very prompt to reply with any questions you might have. Two great bedrooms and two full baths. Tastefully decorated, comfortable beds, good internet and TV reception. We found absolutely no drawbacks of any kind. I highly recommend this cabin and the property owner. We've rented cabins in most areas of the mountains over the years and this is the first we could honestly rate 5 stars! Our week stay was extremely enjoyable and we look forward to booking again possibly in the fall.
Enjoyed a great week of R&R. House had everything I needed. Clean and neat.
Great TV and internet ... Very relaxing.
You'll enjoy it!
We loved the cabin! It was located on a mountain, and was peaceful, and cozy! We really enjoyed being able to be on the deck, or walking our dog, without our usual suburban noise! The cabin was clean, and had some nice little touches of country living. If I HAD to complain about anything it would be the drive to & from the cabin. The single lane road can be a real challenge when there are other people traveling on it as well. It is challenging to find a place to pull over or back up. Other than the road, our we really enjoyed our stay! I would recommend this cabin for friends who want to enjoy a quiet weekend!
