Lakefront Cottage - 3 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 6-8, 150' Private Beach & Dock
About Gregg Kabacinski
We have owned our cottage on Big Bear Lake for 30 years. Our family has grown over the years, so we purchased the cottage next door for extra room for family reunions. We would be very pleased to host your family and friends in our lakefront guest cottage which has its own dock, beach, fire pit, and 150 feet of private lake frontage.
Gregg Kabacinski purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why Gregg Kabacinski chose Johannesburg
Big Bear Lake has a real 'up north' feel, surrounded by woods and quiet. Our 435 acre lake is crystal clear with great swimming, water skiing, boating and fishing. The lake is approximately 1 mile across and 3 miles around. You will be amazed at the bald eagles and loons that frequent our lake. The loons often provide a serenade, along with the brilliance of the stars as you sit around a campfire on the beach. Oh, and don't get me going on the fishing (smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye, northern pike and panfish - and I've got the pictures to prove it)!!
What makes this Cottage unique
Our lakefront is the best, providing full sun on the beach all day long, and shade in the woods surrounding the cottage. Our location on the south side of the lake provides refreshing breezes and beautiful sunsets. We have 5 acres of private woods behind the cottage for children to explore, gather campfire wood, and pick blueberries. For our more adventurous guests there are thousands of acres of federal and state forests, and numerous rivers, within minutes of our cottage. The owner will provide maps and guidance upon request, or if you prefer he will share his 30 plus years of outdoors experience with a fully guided trip for spring turkey hunting, spring morel picking, and fall bird hunting for grouse and woodcock with his well trained Brittany.

We will be coming back!
Our visit was great. Made some great new memories on a lake we haven’t been to in years! We plan to come back and rent it again during the summer months!
The property manager was awesome and very helpful. We will be going again!
It was a great get away and the colours were great. Very quiet in the fall and peaceful. Thanks Greg for a awesome time!
Big Bear Lake
Wonderful location at a very well cared for cabin. All amenities were spot on. Would highly recommend booking your stay! We hope to return again soon!
First of October
My husband and I had a nice visit. The log cottage is nice. Pros: beds are very comfortable and views are wonderful. Cons: The smell from the well water got a little tiring, especially in the bathroom. Pictures of lake are deceiving... there is no longer a beach. The water has risen up to the grass. Also, know there are many steps down to the water, so for those of you who have bad knees or hips, it is difficult!
Water levels all across Michigan rose to near record highs in 2019. I expect 2020 water levels will remain high covering the beach, but swimming and fishing will remain excellent.
Nice and peaceful place
