The flat is on the last two floors of an early 19th century tiny building so you will have very few neighbors and you can enjoy the little staircase garden. Downstairs there is a living space with a sofa bed, full open kitchen, toilet and bathroom and upstairs you have the bedroom. All has been just renovated.
Right in the heart of Paris, Bourse area is lively in week days but very calm at night and on week ends. You will find a supermarket just next door and plenty of good places to eat around. Because of the former stock exchange, some restaurants have kept beautiful decorations. Around 200 meters away is the jardins du palais royal, my favorite garden in Paris and maybe one of the less known jewels of the city. Perfect to go and read next to the fountain, see the unique shops around it or do a break after visiting the neighboring Louvre museum. Also really close is the Japanese area of rue Sainte Anne with lots of Asian restaurants, some of them excellent and with good prices. Two blocks away are one of the longest commercial passages, the Parisian ancestor of modern shopping centers. There you can eat, have a coffee, buy old books, postcards or just make your way when it's rainy. Three minutes away you have the Grands Boulevards area, really busy, quite touristic and also full of bars, from Irish pubs to French bistros. A ten minute walk will get you to the Opera, Galleries Lafayette, Les Halles transport hub or Montorgueuil pedestrian hip area.
Bourse metro station is 50 meters away (line 3), line 9 and 8 are both 200 meters away at Grands Boulevards. With a 10-15 minute walk you will reach Les Halles with the trains coming from Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports. Around 10 bus lines stop at the corner and a public bike station is 50 meters away, just in front of a taxi station.
Other things to note
Please mind the flat is on a sixth floor with no elevator. This will allow you to do some sport :-) and also to enjoy the view!
