I have been a visitor to Santa Fe since childhood and find all of New Mexico a fascinating destination for its rich history and diverse offerings of art, outdoor experiences and genuinely kind people. There is something for everyone.
Owner / Property Manager purchased this condo in 2013
After so many trips to the Santa Fe area for hiking, gallery hopping, shopping and the opera, my family wanted a place to vacation in within walking distance of the plaza and near our favorite restaurants and museums: New Mexico Art and History Museums and the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum.
Air conditioning was another requirement for us; even though it's rarely need it, you can always count on being comfortable. We like the natural setting and Santa Fe style adobe architecture. One morning, we watched a deer grazing a few feet from our patio, totally unmindful of us. It seems quieter here, maybe because the property is located on a hill overlooking the city and mountains to the Northeast. There are parking lots on both sides of the condo for close convenient parking at no cost.
What a great time we had at this condo. It was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. We appreciated the kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The a/c worked very well on the hot days. The location is perfect for not only visiting the museums, shops and restaurants in Santa Fe but for going north to Taos, Los Alamos, Puye Cliffs, Bandalier and Ghost Ranch. We recommend the Native American Vendors Program of the Palace of Governors on the plaza for unique locally made Native Indian Jewelry and items. We found The Shed, Tomasitas and The Cowgirl BBQ to have very tasty food. We highly recommend this condo! Thanks Peggy.
THREE SENIORS ENJOYED OUR 9 DAY STAY AND WOULD RETURN TO THE CONDO AND RECOMMEND IT TO FRIENDS.
CONVENIENT TO HAVE 2 FULL BATHROOMS. LOVELY TO HAVE THE PATIO IN FRONT.
PEGGY WAS VERY HELPFUL INCLUDING HELPING US WORK AROUND THE ZOZOBRA FESTIVITIES NEARBY.
GREAT LOCATION BUT THERE ARE STAIRS TO NAVIGATE WITHIN THE COMPLEX AND HILLS TO CLIMB TO RETURN TO THE CONDO FROM DOWNTOWN WALKS.
WE WALKED DOWNTOWN TO MUSEUMS, RESTAURANTS, FARMERS MARKET ETC. ETC.
OUR GRANDSON ENJOYED NEARBY FORT MARCY PARK AND THE BUG MUSEUM IN THE DEVARGAS MALL.
Convenient, quiet setting with great views. Downtown is walkable if you don't mind the hill. Very comfortable condo. Master bed was quite comfortable. Washer and dryer in condo. Pool in complex. Peggy, the owner, was helpful and responsive.
Our family of four, with two teenage boys, really enjoyed our weeklong stay at this condo. The condo had absolutely everything we needed, and then some. The photos are just a bit outdated as some improvements have been made to the bathroom, and some furniture has been added, as well as a TV in the master bedroom, and a washer and dryer unit. Parking was very convenient, just right up the sidewalk. The owner met us there with some new pans for the kitchen, as a previous renter had requested them...so we could even make PIZZA! The condo is very close to the downtown plaza, and we walked down there almost every day. It is also a perfect location for skiing in Santa Fe. We loved the close proximity of a small shopping center with an Albertson's grocery store, movie theater, post office, etc., and a gas station very close by. There were plenty of restaurant options for us (we highly recommend The Shed), and the pool on property was nice and warm. It was a very quiet retreat for us, with friendly people all around. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend Ft. Marcy Suites for your stay in Santa Fe. Don't miss the beautiful Santa Fe sunsets from the back of the property! Amazing!
My husband and I stayed at this lovely condo with our 3 young boys over Christmas. We were very happy with our stay. The condo is cute, neat and tidy. Peggy was wonderful at keeping in contact with us over the whole rental process and meeting our needs. She allowed us to have an extra kiddo, who slept cozily on the floor in the extra room, and even put up a wreath, Christmas centerpiece, and small planted tree because I asked if there were Christmas decorations. This helped make our Christmas away from home feel more like a home away from home. The location is convenient to town and some pretty little trails. We would stay here again if we return.
Located in the Fort Marcy area of Santa Fe, Peggy Howell's bungalow is the perfect spot for you to rent for a short or long period of time while visiting.
Fort Marcy is located above Santa Fe which makes for beautiful viewing as you walk back and forth from the downtown area. The bungalow is conveniently close to restaurants, shopping, museums and the historic downtown Plaza.
The bungalow itself is beautifully appointed, and spotless. All amenities are provided, and Peggy is a warm, welcoming individual committed to providing her guests with the best experience possible.
I highly recommend this property.
Nestled on a hill top just 6 blocks from the center of the plaza, our vacation home is less than 1/2 mile from several great restaurants/bars, New Mexico Art and History Museums, Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, historic Churches, the Native American Cultural Museum and amazing shopping.
