About Ann Goodman

We moved to Israel from the US in 1986. I am from Brooklyn,New York and my husband is from Houston Texas. We have a wonderful family and we love living in Israel. It is very special.

We bought this apartment in 2012 to help support our married son who is studying.

Why Ann Goodman chose Musrara

We love the location of this apartment. It is perfect for tourists .

We bought the apartment and gutted it and renovated it with the help of a decorator.

It looks very nice and is comfortable for a couple or a couple with one child

What makes this apartment unique

The unique benefit of the apartment is the proximity to the Western Wall and the Old City. It is also very close to the new Mamilla Shopping Promenade with lots of restaurants and cafes, The apartment is also only

one - two blocks away from the center of downtown Jerusalem where shopping and eating options abound. You can find anything from Israeli fast food to elegant dining and everything in between. You can find great Judaica and gifts shopping on the Mamilla Promenade or the downtown/ city center neighborhood.

The apartment is also only one-two blocks to a stop on the new light rail which travels all around the city. It is also close to many different bus routes .

There is an outdoor parking lot only one block away if you plan to rent a car and an indoor parking garage just across the street from the building.

Good 2 twin bed apartment, centrally located

  • 5 of 5

This 2 twin bed apartment is centrally located near Jerusalem City Hall. It is less than a 20 minute walk to the Western Wall and 4 minute walk to a light rail station. There are shuls close by. The apartment has laundry facilities, a refrigerator, and air conditioning. The apartment building is older but more real-life than a hotel environment. The price is quite reasonable.

The amazing location and the comfortable stay!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at one of Ann's Apartments. Ann sent a very detailed instruction how to get to the apartment. We did not have any problems to find the place. The apartment is modern and clean. It had everything we need for the comfortable stay. Also, beds and a couch are very comfy too.

The location is amazing. It is close to everything: 10 min walk to Jaffa st., a train stop, and Mamilla center. It is maybe 15 min walk to the Jaffa gate of the Old city. We went to the Old city every day. We were lucky to be in Jerusalem at the time of the 50th anniversary reunification celebration and the Flag day. We've just had to step outside to be in the middle of the celebration. It is unforgettable!

I need to mention that we did not hear any noise from outside. We were able to rest well at night.

I would book again any of Ann's apartments , if I will need to stay in Jerusalem.

Thank you Ann for your hospitality!

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

This was my first trip to Israel. I took two daughters ( age 17 and 23). Since we only had a week (6 nights) I didn't bother getting a car. We took a shared taxi from Ben Gurion Airport and back at the end of the week. Everything we saw was on foot, except for taking the light rail to Yad Vashem. It was wonderful!!!! The location was great. We walked to the old city (about 2 blocks) and all over it. We walked to Gethsemane and to the top of the Mt. of Olives, into the valley of Ben Hinnon and places where we didn't know where we were. The apartment was a great base for the visit. The owner owns 4 in the building. Mine was not pictured, but she sent pictures before we left and it was more than acceptable. We were quite comfortable with the AC and the shower to cool us off after our adventures. We were there at the end of July so the weather was rather warm, but not humid (like we're used to in Illinois). I enjoyed the weather. We carried water everywhere we went and had no problems. Our apartment had a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a couch in the living room for the third person. Plenty of closet space and drawers. The internet worked fine. Didn't use TV. The kitchen had what we needed in dishes and pots and pans and dish soap, etc. We did not use the Kosher set, but they are there for those who choose. The security of the building looks a little strange, but was fine- I felt safe the whole time there. There is also a shopping district nearby. We were looking for a veil for my daughter who was getting married in August and found the perfect material at a yardage shop nearby. $45.00 for the most beautiful veil ever.

I look forward to my next trip to Jerusalem and would definitely check this place first. The owner was easy to work with, too. I recommend this place.

Fantastic Find!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 nights here in August. First and foremost, the location is absolutely phenomenal! We easily walked to the Old City / Jaffa Gate, the light rail, Mamilla, center of town, Meah Shearim. The apartment was clean with updated furnishings, and looked just like the photos. Beds were very comfortable and it had everything we needed. Kitchen was stocked with utensils, with separate locked cabinets for kosher and non-kosher. I would not hesitate recommending this rental to anyone looking for a place in Jerusalem for up to 3 people, and I would come back in a heartbeat. Washer/dryer was also a real plus.

Where you would want to be in Jerusalem!

  • 5 of 5

We spent just over two weeks at this unit and the neighboring one with our children, a cousin and occasional other guests over Sukkot, 2015. Of many things we liked - location meant we didn't have to rent a car, short walk to light rail to Machne Yehuda (and the light rail is faster than a taxi or car in most cases), a few minutes to Old City and Western Wall, short walk to the high-end hotels, Mea Shearim, central part of city etc. Clean and neat place, like a hotel; but all the convenience of an apartment, without having somebody else's stuff there.

Sukkah was set up for us in patio, we fit a dozen people in it easily. No hesitation in recommending the place.

Very responsive to any needs.

Car: not necessary

The location is wonderful for tourists. The apartment is walking distance to the Old City of Jerusalem where both Jews and Christians can visit their respective holy sites. The Western Wall is just a 20 minute walk away and could be even closer depending on which entrance you

The Mamilla Outdoor Promenade has great shopping and restaurants and cafes. The downtown or city center neighborhood is also a 5 minute walk away and people can browse all the shops and find lots of great places to eat. You can find Israeli fast food like falafel or shwarma or elegant dining in a fancy restaurant.

Public transportation is excellent near the apartment and the new Jerusalem light rail stops only one block from the apartment. Many bus lines run near the apartment too. There is a large outdoor parking lot one block away from the building so if you rent a car you can find parking there. The rates are reasonable and they give a weekly rate too.
