About Dave G
I am a car collector and worked in tech until I retired last year.
Dave G purchased this House in 2015
Why Dave G chose La Mesa
I lived in La Mesa when this property became available for the first time since built, in 1958! The original family decided to move to Nevada, and I had always admired the large lot, classic 50's ranch style with trees and shrubs all around the house! It's country feel, but actually IN the city of La Mesa, and close to the freeways which take you to the beaches, down-town, the convention center and such, in just a short 10-15 min. drive, or a hop on the trolley less than 1 mile away.
What makes this House unique
In the city but feels like country. It has open space for a large fit pit with sitting wall, an bbq, and several covered patios with sitting areas.

Charming and comfortable home
My family and I spent the Thanksgiving holiday here and we loved it. The house is completely upgraded and very comfortable. Close to the freeway but in a secluded area of La Mesa. Dave was so kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend!
Very comfortable, plenty of space. Clean. Kitchen well stocked. Bathroom with a great shower.
The home was very well located with shopping centers and restaurants just minutes away. Very private setting. Plenty of closet space. Large kitchen, that was well stocked. Great bathroom with wonderful shower. Comfortable beds. The owner could not have been nicer. He really wanted to make our stay perfect and he succeeded. We have family in the area, and it was a perfect place for them to visit us and hang out. We would stay here again.
Thank you for your kind words! It is folks such as yourselves that make this all work. I am grateful you took such care of my home. Cheers to you and your husband.
Great location, property and owner.
This was our second booking! We love the location and the charm of this home. The owner is very kind and helpful. No doubt about it... we will return!
Quiet and comfy
Renovations are coming along in this cozy mid-century ranch - the original wood floors in the living area are beautiful and the newly remodeled kitchen and bath are lovely. This is a duplex with tenants on the far side - and was the perfect size for our party of 3 that were in the area to visit family. There was only seating for 2 in the living room, but because of the open concept we were able to utilize the dining table and stools at the kitchen counter. Dave was very accommodating, has the kitchen well stocked, and the beds were comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning coffee while looking out over the yard.
La Mesa Family Stay
Dave was a great host. Cozy home- perfect for family trips!
An amazing get away close to all the action!
We came down for San Diego Comic Con and we thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The rooms were all very nice, comfortable, clean and VERY modern. Our host even took the time to show us around and pointed out all the amenities. It was all very nice and just outside all the hubbub of the downtown area (where it was too crowded).
The best part is that this house was nearby everything - there are nice restaurants to eat at in La Mesa, or if you want to get to the Gaslamp District - a short car ride, and you're there.
If we're ever brave enough to go back to Comic Con, we'll definitely be looking up this place to stay!
Close to Grossmont Center Mall, Grossmont Hospital, Brier Park, Mt. Helix and the trolley stops ORANGE and GREEN, with take you to downtown, Qualcomm stadium and Cal State San Diego.
The old downtown La Mesa is small but charming, good food and bars and a CAR SHOW on Wednesdays during the summer and fall.
