Our cottage is surrounded by gardens. With exposed beams and lots of unique features,a stay here is sure to be a memorable experience! It has one room with two twin beds, and a room with a queen. The bathroom is small and sweet with a stained glass window and extra large cast-iron tub and petite shower. There is a 30" flat screen and a DVD player. The dinning covered porch is amazing, surrounded by tall oaks, it will be a favorite place to gather at the end of day! Roast marshmallows by the fire pit, with plenty of chairs and tiki torches.
There is an eat in kitchen booth, fully stocked kitchen, full bath, small art studio for children and adults. Toys. High chair. Game area and tea area. Two child's regular size kayak for rent. Please let me know prior to arrival if you are interested in using kayaks, so I can have the gear ready. Payment to be left on counter at checkout. Public boat landing, fishing, and very small beach 1/10 of mile down the road. No T.V. or WiFi.Neighborhood overview
Union is the heart of Maine's wild blueberry farms. The fields turn blue in deep season and then turn Scarlet in the fall. Union was the inspiration for the book Come Spring. With a sweet town center, a supermarket,laundromat and dinner. 20 minutes from some of Maine's most beautiful towns ( Camden, Rockland, Rockport and Damaricotta). Boothbay a short 45 minute drive and Bar Harbor a nice day trip of two hours.
