Guestbook comments from the owner

"Absolutely delightful cottage full of surprises around every corner! The serene wooded lots provides a secret garden like canopy while the cozy inside and screened-in porch are a sure elixir for the soul. We anticipate our arrival same time next year. I can only wonder what novel gifts the cottage may yield next"

This property was just lovely! Very charming and cozy cottage.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Starr cottage. I especially loved the shabby chic decor. It was bigger than I expected and we were quite comfortable there. The kitchen and bathrooms were very nice. Plenty of towels and the kitchen is nicely stocked with everything needed to cook very comfortably.

I would definetly recommend this rental to all! We hope to go back soon!

Vero Beach, Fl..

A lovely cottage.

  • 4 of 5

In a nice location; convenient to the lake. We enjoyed our stay very much. Short on closet space and master bedroom is pretty small. We enjoyed

our stay and liked the convenience of location. It was very clean with a nice kitchen, which was well stocked. We enjoyed shopping in Waynesville.

Highly recommend for 2- 4 people for a short period of time.

Owner's Response: Mary, thank you for your review. Yes the bedroom is on the small size but that is typical for homes of this vintage and especially summer cottages. You are the first to mention shortage of closet space. Since you had already been vacation in the mountains for three weeks prior to arriving at Cozy Cottage, I am sure you had a lot of clothing.

Great weekend Getaway!

What a great place to stay! Everything was just as advertised. The house was clean, the kitchen had all needed to cook and serve, and the rest of the house was great. I would recommend this for one or two couples without hesitation!

Great Stay at Cozy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We loved our week at the cozy cottage at Lake Junaluska! Vicki was so easy to work with and promptly answered several questions I emailed to her. The cottage is beautifully furnished and easily accommodates four people with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The furnishings are well maintained, and the cottage is VERY clean. Although the kitchen is small, it had everything we needed to cook meals, including a 5 burner gas cooktop. We enjoyed coffee in the mornings on the screened porch and know when cooler weather comes, guests will enjoy the porch even more. This was our second vacation at Lake Junaluska. It is close enough for a day trip to nearby Asheville and a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway with gorgeous views of the mountains. Waynesville is a great little town with many cute shops to browse and yummy restaurants to choose from. We look forward to our next vacation and would definitely stay again at the cozy cottage!

A Balm to Our Souls

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we unlocked the door to Starr's Cozy Cottage, we knew we had stepped into a uniquely loved and cherished cottage. The owner's heart of hospitality was apparent in every detail, in every nook and corner. Her attention to detail, her love for beauty and her creative passion for life was a sweet aroma that filled our spirits the entire week we were there.
