Nicely kept house, what we were looking for

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long weekend at the house this July. I haven't done many of these but this stay hit all of the marks. Decently covenant location, comfortable house and a nice set up for our families. Loved having the screened in porch to hang out on. We would see deer at least once a day. The pool in the community was nice. Plenty of linens and other house niceties like coolers, folding chairs, croquette set. Only detractor I would say is the beds weren't the most comfortable for me, very firm, but something you can deal with considering all the positives. If we want to stay in that area again we would definitely come back to this house.

Good home, good host and good amenities

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in Jim Thorpe June 2017, with my set of 4 1/2 year old twins. George the owner was a very wonderful host and even brought us a small ice cream cake to welcome us. The community has a swimming pool, playground, and lake that we could use. The kids were enthralled with how many deer would come in the yard. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed. I forgot hair conditioner and I found a bottle left for the renters. Not to mention there was olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee filters. Our only complaint was the rained the whole time :( But not too much George could have done to fix that. I would say a great family place to stay, quiet, but close to town.

Owner's Response: I wondered why Keli only was a 4 star review. I contacted her and found out the only negative to the stay was finding the house. The pin location on VRBO was a distance from the actual location. This has been corrected but it still is just a general area location. I would suggest visitors to any property get specific directions from the owner as directions can vary be season, weather condition and ever hour of the day. Thanks Keli for bringing this to my attention so I could take corrective action. Hope to see you on a future visit. George

We had a great time at George's house. The house was very clean, nice, quiet, and met all of our expectations. George was extremely pleasant and easy to deal with. He was extremely helpful in providing us information on things to do and places to visit. We will definitely look into staying here again next time we're back in the Poconos!

Nice stay for spring break

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for sharing your home. We had a wonderful stay! The home is very roomy, clean and well stocked, especially if you are a book lover! My husband, 3 teenage children and I stayed for the first part of our spring break to visit some of my husband's family. We arrived right after two feet of snow had hit the Poconos. George made sure the roads and driveway had been cleared out before our arrival. There was a fox walking through the snow one morning out in the back yard. It was a beautiful site. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. George was very helpful and very quick to reply to us. Thank you again for allowing us to stay in this winter wonderland! We hope to be able to come back during the summer months. The Solomon family

Great Spacious House

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend with another couple and had a great time. The house was really clean and fully stocked with all the basic essentials you need. This really was a home away from home and I wish we had more time than just a weekend and the owner George was just wonderful!! Next time I go back, I will definitely be coming here.

Great location for exploring the area-

  • 5 of 5

The house was just the right size for five and centrally located between Jim Thorpe and the wedding venue. The kitchen is fully stocked so cooking big meals was easy. George was very friendly and committed to our group having a good, safe visit. I'd rent again if in the area.
