Why Phil chose New Bedford
As a child my wife grew up seeing it covered in Vines and filled with trash and trees growing through the middle. always known as 'The Vine Building' Growing up always wishing she could purchase it as she had an eye for its potential. After many years away at college and working in interior design and specializing in Restuarant design, she returned to see it finally converted to the Landmark building she knew it could be. It laid dormant for many years until it was bought in 2005, totally stripped but saving all the materials to use throughout the renovation. The building was renovated to house a Restaurant, Cork Wine and Tapas and the Taber convention room on the three lower floors and the amazing 2 story penthouse apartment on top. It won many awards for saving its history. It then became available for purchase in 2010 and a life long dream was complete. We were able to purchase the building and use the apt for our vacations and can now share it with you. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

This is the second time we have stayed and we will be back!
Phil is great to deal with and very prompt with his responses. The property is a one of kind and very spacious and comfortable
The house was everything and more than what we had expected.
Great house and great location. I booked this home last minute for a wedding I was attending. It was 4mins from the church and 4mins from the reception. So it was very convenient. Phil the owner allowed us to check in early so we had time to get ready for our 3pm wedding. This was also a huge plus and we were so pleased when we arrived. The house had a great set up. It was very clean and well maintained. The young women who greated us and gave us the keys was wonderful. She help us with parking and gave us a few good tips. I would highly recommend this home. Tons of shops, bars and night life near by. I hope to come back again soon. Wish we had stayed a few nights instead of 1 so we could have experience all this area had to offer.
Close to everything and a gorgeous place!!!
Beautiful one-of-a-kind experience!!!
Thanks Jaime! Great to have you and your family stay at "Villa New Beige". Also Great to hear you loved it! It sure is a unique place. Its rare to find such an amazing place to stay. I'm glad we are able to share it with others. Hope to see you again soon.
Very nice accommodation.
Very unique property. The apartment has everything you could possibly need or want.
Thanks for staying Dianne. Great to hear you loved it. Thanks for leaving the place so clean and communicating throughout your stay before and after so well. 5 stars all the way! We hope to have you back again soon.
Stunning accomodations in perfect location!!
We chose to stay in New Bedford to visit our son who is attending school at, and plays hockey for UMass Dartmouth. Our choice could not have been better. This is a wonderful city, and the older waterfront area where we stayed is so rich in history that a visit is well worth while. You can walk everywhere!!
Pictures do not do this place justice. The original flooring and beams along with the stone walls are spectacular! The main floor is big and airy. The kitchen is great and well equipped. Providing everything that we needed to prepare our own meals (the few times we did). Plenty of pots and pan and knives and utensils for cooking any type of meal. Having a private elevator that takes us right into the penthouse was fabulous, especially for getting our luggage and packing back and fourth from the car. Have a private parking spot was a welcomed necessity. The area is bustling and parking is extremely hard to find.
The owner Phil and his assistant Emily we very responsive and helpful with all of our questions both before our arrival and during our stay.
We ate at at least 6 local restaurants and didn't have a bad meal at one!! In fact they were all VERY GOOD!!
Our son graduates in May, so not sure if we will have the need to come back, but if we do, we will definitely contact Phil about staying here again.
This place is stunning. It is beautifully appointed. We stayed here once before and rented again. Plenty of space and well furnished. The restaurant downstairs is awesome. If you are also planning a party or dinner you can rent space from the venue downstairs. We were allowed to on Thanksgiving and were able to accommodate 35 of my family members.
