Short Walk to Downtown and Barrett's Park

Bedrooms 3
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Full baths, Spacious kitchen

Lovingly named in honor of the lobstermen who once inhabited the property, Lobstermen’s Cottage is a cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage with a full and spacious kitchen. It includes all of the amenities, sleeps up to 7-8 people and offers a comfortable and laid back respite from the everyday. Nestled in Lobster Cove on the quiet East Side of Boothbay Harbor, peace, tranquility and life as it was meant to be await you.

Relax on the deck and take in the fresh, salty sea air or climb and explore the rocky coast that lies just steps from your door at Barrett’s Park Beach, where you can dig for clams, chase crabs or marvel at all the periwinkles. Collect nature’s treasures, kayak around the inlets, go for a swim and cool off…and we mean really cool off! Or just sit quietly, read a book, and take in the beauty that surrounds you.

Just a short walk across our bustling little harbor by way of the famous footbridge or even by trolley, lies our historic seaside town, where you can browse the many shops and boutiques, stroll through our art galleries, enjoy local, fresh caught seafood at one of our outstanding restaurants, or book an adventure on one of the many excursions offered. Whether it’s whale watching, sailing, charter fishing, viewing seals, puffins and lighthouses up close, or a trip to Monhegan Island, the list of activities is endless. Walk along the waterfront and enjoy an ice cream cone or take in the band concert on the library lawn. Learn about our ship-building heritage or listen to the “fish tales” of our colorful Boothbay natives while sampling some of our local micro brews.

Check out the Marine Aquarium or take the kids to the Railway Village. Enjoy a round (or two) of world class 18 hole golf at The Boothbay Country Club or try your hand at mini-golf. While here, spend some time at the spectacular 250 acre Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens or spend the day hiking one of the Boothbay Region Land Trust’s over 30 miles of hiking trails, open year-round to the public, free of charge. It’s a great way to take in the region’s natural scenic beauty. Speaking of scenic beauty, any visit to Boothbay Harbor wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Ocean Point in East Boothbay. Its beauty will truly take your breath away and is always recommended.

Our family has been here for many generations and we hope you will choose to stay with us. We’d like to make your vacation a memory to last a lifetime. Choosing to vacation in The Boothbay Harbor region will not disappoint. As we’ve always said, the worst part about coming here, is having to leave!

Such a great place and convenient location!

  • 5 of 5

We love staying there! Its so close to walk into the town and steps away from a beautiful park. Morning walks are fantastic from this house. We love to take the back way past Barrett Park and walk up Park St hill and down into Head of the Harbor were we can get breakfast at Momma D's. There is so much to do in Boothbay Harbor and so many great restaurants! The house has everything you need, is clean and very comfortable. It sounds like they renovated a bit this year too. They've added a 2nd bathroom upstairs which is fantastic... we can't wait to stay again this year!

Very nice stay.

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter, and I stayed here and enjoyed it very much. The people who own this are very helpful. It was very clean and well-equipped. The location is nice, with a short distance to several restaurants or the footbridge, plus beautiful Barrett Park is right down the street.

Fantastic time in a terrific property!!

  • 5 of 5

My family, which was comprised of 4 adults and 3 children, recently stayed at the Lobsterman's Cottage and had an amazing vacation! The only negative was the weather and unfortunately, nothing could be done about the front that moved it... though it didn't dampen our spirits or impact our trip. We were walking distance of the harbor, some amazing restaurants and a lovely park... ((If you go, keep an eye out for the thousands of hermit crabs that are there... they are very fascinating to watch)).

Thank you for making our vacation such a memorable one!!
