Welcome to Casa Amarilla, located in Palm Beach Estates, Playa Grande. This is a well cared for house, fully stocked with all you could need as well as some extra perks that you will enjoy. Conveniently located just around the corner from several restaurants as well as the local grocery store, and only a short walk to the beach and surf!

Entering the property offers gated and secure off street parking, car port, and a well manicured tropical garden. The large covered veranda hosts a lovely 8 person dining table, plus comfortable outdoor seating offering cool shade all day. A beautiful swimming pool with water fall, is surrounded by a stone patio with a built in BBQ, perfect for a pool party!

The two story home comes fully equipped with all the kitchen supplies you can imagine. The living room is adorable and cozy with a fully stocked DVD library, cable TV, and high speed wireless internet.

The first floor offers a spacious bedroom complete with a full hanging closet, a dresser, plus a surf board rack. Adjacent to the bedroom is a full bath with a handy closet for extra towels.

The second floor hosts two additional rooms which share a very spacious bath with double sinks and a Jacuzzi tub.

Each of the rooms have closets, dressers, laundry hampers, trash bins, and bedside reading lamps, as well as ceiling fans and air conditioners for your comfort.

Tastefully decorated and well thought out, this is truly a perfect vacation rental home. Once a week housekeeping is included in the price. Full concierge service is available for you as the property managers can help arrange any tours and activities you will like to do while staying at Casa Amarilla.

There is a local cook who can be hired to make delicious typical Costa Rican food for your group if you so desire for $75 for a full day shift, or $30 per breakfast and lunch, and $60 per dinner.

We also offer a Grocery Shopping Service for $80 per service.

Just a great place to stay overall. Outdoor dining room was an excellent feature. Pool was awesome, gardener and cleaning lady were very friendly and helpful, realty agent booked us some amazing snorkelling trips, just steps from the ocean, we would live here if we could!

Side note : Could use hammock. :)

The house had everything we needed. Very comfortable for our family of 5. Walking distance to one of the best beaches we have ever surfed at. Not crowded at all! Close to some restaurants, grocery and everything you need.

Marco from Amigo Realty was great and helped us set up several activities.

Would love to go back again!

Beautiful house, great location

We spent 9 days in casa Amarilla and had a fabulous time. The house was exactly as advertised and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the living/kitchen area was actually more spacious than it appeared in the photos. The outdoor space was amazing and we were able to walk to the beach and restaurants. Marco was lovely and planned several excursions for us as well as made arrangements for Veronica to cook for us. She was amazing and I would highly recommend her services. We choose to do the food shopping ourselves but I did take a considerable amount of time and next time I will gladly pay the fee to have someone shop for the groceries.

Overall a wonderful experience and we hope to return next year.

Casa Amarilla is the second house I've stayed at in Palm Beach Estates. It was great! Great pool and wonderful outdoor sitting area. The house is well kept and in very good shape. You're only a six minute walk to the beach (I timed it) and an even shorter walk to the estuary to catch a boat to Tamarindo. I definitely recommend this house as a great place to stay without spending a fortune.

Lovely Casa Amarillo

The property was lovely, especially the pool area and outdoor living area. Walk to the beach and good restaurants were a plus for the property. Nova and Marco, the managers, were very good to work with and responsive to our needs.

Wonderful house in a great location for R & R.

We had a great week at Casa Amarilla with two other adult couples in Jan 2016. The house is a good size for three couples though one of the upstairs bedrooms is a bit cozy. There is one bath up and one down, so the upstairs bath gets shared by 2 bedrooms. If you spent much time indoors, the living room/kitchen might be a bit small. The house is well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, a TV (which we didn't turn on) with satellite and a bunch of DVDs, a selection of books and games and, of course, the cozy patio and pool. The grill was new when we stayed. The lot is nicely landscaped, the covered area in particular was a great place to hang out, share meals, watch birds and just generally relax. We heard howler monkeys daily but they never visited us, we did see them by the Hotel Bula Bula a 5 min walk away (also an ant eater). A family of raccoons had a nightly route through the hood that included a stop at Amarilla.

Palm Beach Estates itself is a couple of loops of dirt roads on flat land 1.5 miles south of the little community of Playa Grande. Within Palm Beach Estates are maybe 30 private houses and 3-4 small hotels: you can walk the entire loop in about 20 minutes. This community is the end of the road, so little traffic. Individual properties are on smallish lots mostly surrounded by trees and vegetation. At least 2/3 of the lots are undeveloped and uncleared so the area is fairly wild. The public beach access is about a ten minute walk from the house on the dirt road. There are four restaurants and a couple small markets within Palm Beach Estates itself and another 4-6 restaurants, several markets/boutiques and 2-4 surf shops 1.5 miles away in Playa Grande proper. There is a mid sized supermarket (WilMart II) about 1 mile on the other side of Playa Grande. It is about a 20 minute walk on the beach or a path through the "jungle" to the mouth of the river where you can get a boat across for $1, then walk 10 minutes into Tamarindo. If exploring the area you will probably want to rent a car.

Communication with Nova and Marco from Amigo Realty was always timely and effective. Marco was super helpful in making arrangements for activities and had great suggestions for places to visit in the area. We were appraised of a couple of maintenance issues to be taken care of during our stay and visitors were very considerate.

We would recommend Casa Amarilla to friends and family and may go back ourselves someday.
