About Virginia Breazeale

Gene and Virginia Breazeale are Florida residents who were amazed by the peace and calm of Riverside Cabin. We, along with our beloved dog Beau, visit quarterly to unwind and enjoy the mountains and all they have to offer.

Virginia Breazeale purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Virginia Breazeale chose Smoky Mountains

This property offers peace and quiet with the ability to enjoy your pets and all the birds and wildlife. It is close to shopping and attractions while being cozy and comfortable during your stay. This is an outdoor community offering lots of walking and outside enjoyment. Therefore, picking up after your pets is required.

What makes this cabin unique

The views of the river and the huge open field from the screened porch captured our hearts. We knew our dog would love to run and play and we could fish in the river and relax on the porch at the end of the day. Enjoy the firepit and grill outside and the fireplace inside.

Nice getaway, serene and scenic

  • 5 of 5

Overall, we had a wonderful time in this rustic and comfortable cabin. It is remote and still a short drive to many interesting locations. We had a really good time. It was a very good experience.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time at the cabin. It was just what we needed and the pictures were 100% on target!! The grands had a great time playing. We stayed there pretty much the entire time and just enjoyed listening to the river and the peace and tranquil setting. Hope to stay again next year. Thanks for having us. R.Lindler, Chapin, SC

Quaint and cozy! A step back in time with some modern conveniences.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time. Fishing, frisbee exploring the beautiful land, pond and river by day and bonfire and s'mores at night. The cabin was so charming and although there was wifi we chose to unplug for the most part. This may become our new annual vacation spot! Thank you!

Beautiful authentic cabin experience

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed everything about our stay. What appealed to us was the waterfront location of the cabin. The kitchen has all you need to prepare meals. We only went out for dinner one night. Once you arrive you do not want to leave. So peaceful and serene. The king bed was a plus and so comfortable. My husband enjoyed trout fishing...even though he didn't catch anything. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful mountain retreat.

Absolutely beautiful, comfortable and relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

When we first arrived and realized there was no A/C and in the summer, we were concerned. However, the side of the mountain kept the cabin cool. We had the most comfortable and relaxing time anyone could ever ask for!

If I had one word to describe this little cabin it would be simply ENCHANTING!!!

  • 5 of 5

I wanted to find a quiet place where I could spend time with my children and recharge my batteries. My daughter could not make it due to her schedule. So that gives me an excuse to visit again....hopefully soon. But my Son and I simply will not forget the special time we had here. He became an expert at starting a fire both indoors and outside in the firepit. We roasted corn and drank hot chocolate. Each morning he set up his fishing pole in the screened porch while we watched different sets of birds come eat from the bird feeders. The cabin is private enough but it's also close to the Smokies and nearby towns. The people are friendly and the area is beautiful....you simply could not ask for more.
