About Cecile

Originally from Edmonton and Montreal, we have had the opportunity to live across the country and in Europe. No matter where we have lived we have always felt that the Okanagan Valley was the ideal place to be. Having rented vacation homes ourselves we have always appreciated a well cared for home. We want you to truly love our home as much as we do.

Cecile purchased this house in 2012

The property was amazing! We absolutely loved it!!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful holiday at The Oasis. This property is perfect. The lakeviews are breathtaking. You can even see Gray Monk winery straight from the living room. It was such a treat to wake up in the morning and drink our coffee on the front porch while enjoying the scenery. There is also plenty of green space where our toddler and dog loved to run around. There are a number of wineries within a few minutes drive that we thoroughly enjoyed. The location is just right - private and secluded yet close enough to various amenities. The house itself is very comfortable and clean. It is apparent that Cecile and Ed take great pride in their property. Cecile was very good at keeping in contact and answering all of our inquiries. We celebrated our daughter's 2nd birthday here and made some wonderful family memories. If we're lucky enough, we will hopefully be able to make this an annual trip!

Truly an Oasis - and what views!

  • 5 of 5

From the minute we arrived, we felt welcome and at home. The home has everything you need, for a relaxing getaway. The beds are comfortable, the house has a beautiful yard with a spacious hot tub, and the views are spectacular from every window. There were 5 of us and the house was more than enough room.

This was a wine tasting tour to celebrate my October birthday and daughter's November birthday and the location couldn't have been better. We visited several wineries within a few minutes of the house, and one day also took a short drive to Penticton to the Naramata bench where we visited more amazing wineries along the way and several on the Naramata bench. We're already planning to go back - it was an amazing 5 days!

A peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

The home and location was lovely. The view of the lake was outstanding but unfortunately we didn't get to see it much due to smoke from forest fires in the area. The home was incredibly clean and cared for and the kitchen was extremely well-stocked. The owners were wonderful to deal with and always replied quickly to questions. We really loved having the deck on two sides - always able to get shade. The covered deck on one side was wonderful for playing card games at night. The welcome bottle of wine was appreciated and encouraged us to go to various wineries in the area. A tremendous vacation!

Owner's Response: So glad you were able to enjoy our property even with the sometimes smokey days you experienced. This year has been a hard one for British Columbia. We were at the house the week after you and experienced a couple of smokey days ourselves. Didn't stop us from getting to some wineries and out on paddle boards. Hope you will consider returning!

The Oasis is just that. It is a private retreat that has an amazing view of the lake and mountains.

Really lovely house and garden area in a very private location. Very relaxing experience. Didn't want to leave to go and sightsee. Enjoyed cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and eating outside or inside. The beds were so comfortable. Even though there were days that were smokey due to forest fires there were also days when it was crystal clear. The view of the lake was incredible. Felt rejuvenated and renewed by the end of our 2 weeks. It will be hard to get back to a regular life at home. Plan to return next year.

Summer Vacation

  • 5 of 5

What a great place to stay for our vacation - nice and quiet so suited our family. Easy to walk down to the lake and we also rented boats across at Turtle Bay marina which was only a 5 min drive if that. in between Vernon and Kelowna so a really good location. Stopped in at Intrigue Winery up the road and picked up some great wines from them. The house was fully stocked and had awesome views of the lake. Tons of wildlife in the yard each day so everyone enjoyed that. We really liked the wrap around porch so we were outside a lot. Can't wait to come back.

July 1st Long weekend

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough about our stay, it was absolutely amazing. We loved the view and the proximity to all the wonderful Winery's. We especially enjoyed Blind Tiger and arrow leaf . The house had absolutely everything you needed, my husband even had all the supplies to make me a birthday cake :-) we ate outside for every meal, the weather was absolutely amazing so it allowed us to do that but even if it wasn't i think the covered porch would allow you to do so. Cecile was extremely responsive whenever we had a question. We plan to go back one day we enjoyed our stay so much. Thanks Cecile, you have a lovely property.
