Very nice. Had everything we needed. Loved the washer/dryer! :)
My large immediate family stayed here Thanksgiving week, so we could visit with family who had recently moved to Austin. The house is beautiful and the views are ridiculously breathtaking. It's the kind of home in which you can sleep the first night, unlike so many hotels and even B&Bs, because it feels like yours. We loved the extras like board games in the tv cupboard, and the pantry has quite a few things that you always need but hate to buy for that one meal (e.g., cinnamon, Pam, etc). Definitely check it before you go shopping or have your Shipt delivered. We had two small issues that are easily fixed. We used the AC on day 1 and we surprised to see we had been locked out of the controls on day 2. I know it's winter, but Northerners get hot at 78 and don't expect controls to be locked on them (When we called the property management company they said the owners had locked us out). The second one was that my husband made bacon and forgot to turn on the oven hood, set off the smoke detector which then triggered an immediate visit from AFD. We were surprised, to say the least, as our systems at home have a call ring through first for just such occasions. In any event, the owners had left nicely detailed instructions on other things (.e.g, make sure you use two hands to close the dishwasher so it will run) and maybe a "make sure to always use the oven hood" would be a good add. :) Between the AC, the smoke detector, and our kids wanting to use the pool in the winter, we felt like they might not love us as visitors, but we sure would love to make this our place when visiting relatives. We loved checking out Bull Creek Greenbelt right by the house too. Other than that, you're in suburbia but it's not too far to the city (15 min drive).
Very well furnished and equipped but lacked the personal touch. The bedroom on the seperate floor seemed a little isolated and the novelty of the lift definitely wore off towards the end of the week. Only 4 coat hangers per wardrobe/room, we had to go and buy more, if I'd have know I would have taken my own, not what you'd expect for the type of property. All in all a good property with a great pool and outdoor space.
This property is exactly what you see online and more! Extremely well stocked with everything you need. (The only things we couldn't find were a pizza cutter and cutting board...) Don't go shopping before you check out what is there. This home has beach towels!!! Turnkey needs to update this info for this home... We had two minor issues and the owner cam over himself to attend to. Good location - easy access to highway. Would definitely come back to stay in this home.
The house was outstanding, the view is incredible, the owners were on site and the only time we even knew they were there is when we had one small problem and the jumped all over it to make sure our stay was pleasant. We will be coming back.
This was our 2nd stay at this wonderful property. As before the unit is clean and very well stocked. Views are awesome. Close to downtown. So many things to do. We spent many hours at the pool. I do have a couple of concerns. The grill needed cleaning again this year. Not just the normal scraping of the grates. We started it up and there was so much gunk on the bottom that it caused fire flare ups. It took 2 hours to clean. There is a red wasp nest on the second level of main house. The wasps would bother us while at the pool. And if we didn't see the pool guy come in, we wouldn't have known that he was going to shock the pool and you can't swim for 2 hours after that. Some kind of communication about that would have been great. Overall, it was a great experience.
