About the owner: My work as a folklorist takes me around the country, and this apartment reflects my eclectic travels. I've loved living here for 20 years and set up Camp Serendipity to help others feel at home while on the road. I am happy to help you plan your stay. The name comes from a painting I bought in rural Louisiana depicting a 1917 fishing camp. It hangs in the apartment's living room and reflects my love of serendipity since my home was built in 1917 and like that old Louisiana camp, this place is also a great getaway spot.
Why the Owner Chose Rosemont, Alexandria, VA, USA:
Living on a quiet block equidistant to two Metro stations allows me to get into DC quickly for meetings and for fun and to enjoy neighborhood walks to parks and a new coffee and wine shop, dinner in Old Town, lunch in Del Ray.
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
Older homes have always appealed to me, especially bungalows with big porches, which abound in Rosemont. This has been an ideal home for me.
