About Rob and Cindy Hefner

Rob and Cindy Hefner live in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. Gatlinburg is a long way from home for us, however, we immediately fell in love with the area and this cabin....We hope that you will to!

Rob and Cindy Hefner purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Rob and Cindy Hefner chose Sevierville

The vision for us started in 2011. We had rented another cabin for our family and found Echo Canyon during a walk.

We immediately loved everything about the cabin, from the location to the ideal layout of the property. Upon doing all of the market research, our interest was reaffirmed and we made an offer.....then came a boundary dispute between several owners in the area which resulted in the property being delisted until these issues could be settled through legal channels. We would check up on it quite often, but no change. Finally in early February of 2013, we received a call from our realtor that the property was back on the market and would likely receive multiple offers quickly. She was right, however, one of the offers was ours and we got it! It is a privilege to share our dream with you.

What makes this cabin unique

Echo Canyon has everything to offer that we feel families look for when visiting the area and renting a cabin. The location does have other cabins nearby, however, has a secluded feel and is not located in a cabin 'subdivision', which we consider undesirable. The drive to the cabin allows for a real feeling that you are among the real residents of East Tennessee and provides several noteworthy structures from the Glades Arts District, to old barns and bed and breakfasts....even a few wild turkeys along the way. Inside the cabin, families enjoy all of the amenities that are expected to ensure a memorable stay at Echo Canyon....We look forward to seeing you!

Very Nice Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very clean and supplied with pretty much anything you will need during your stay. I have seen some comments about the roads going to the cabin, but for the area they are not that bad, and the driveway is now blacktopped. Take your time and watch the curves. Rob and Cindy were very easy to work with and answered any questions that we had. There were ten of us in the cabin over Thanksgiving. My granddaughters really enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. The only suggestion I would make is they need a bigger coffee pot. It is a five cup pot and that doesn't last too long with 6 coffee drinkers. Overall though, rent the cabin. You will enjoy it.

Great lodge with some privacy!

  • 4 of 5

We had a family get together as we all live spread out across the US. This was a great house for us to come together and enjoy each other’s company without feeling on top of each other. The owners have everything you need and the pool table was great for the wait for dinner. The location is good because you are really 20 min to everywhere and you get to take back roads that keep you off the main streets where there is lots of traffic. We went to Dollywood, Apple Barn, Dixie Stampede (highly recommend!) and checked out downtown Gatlinburg. This was a great trip and the house was very nice for us!! Thanks!!

Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

Loved the property and seclusion but not so much the roads lol. Make sure you are back before dark and put the car in low gear at the bottom of the drive and gun it up lol. Hopefully you will make it :). We have previously rented from the owners at their other cabin and love working with them.

Beautiful cabin. Very clean, kitchen well appointed.

Driveway a little tricky. Gravel gets a little bumpy after a few trips up. Might should be paved. Owner was quick to respond on a slight hvac issue and had it fixed quickly. We had a great vacation in a beautiful location. Relaxing and peaceful. We are already talking about going back during the cooler months. I would highly recommend trying this mountain place for a getaway.

A perfect cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Our family absolutely loved this cabin! Has everything you need and plenty of space for everyone. It is also a little secluded, so while there are other cabins nearby, you definitely have your own space. Some of the roads leading to the cabin were a little scary (being from the midwest- I wasn't quite used to that!)- but that's pretty much par for the course in that area and we did get more comfortable with it by the end of the stay. We would definitely stay again and recommend! Thanks Rob and Cindy for sharing your wonderful cabin!

Wonderful place to stay while in the Great Smoky mountains!

  • 5 of 5

This lodge was a perfect retreat for us for the entire week while we vacationed in the Smokies. It had all of the amenities you could possibly want and need while staying in the heart of the mountains. There's the log cabin design that positions you for your mountain stay, beautiful scenery to enhance your experience, a big back deck complete with a hot tub, front porch rocking chairs for sipping your morning coffee or tea, and much more. This place has many personalized touches that allow you to feel right at home for your entire stay. Anyone looking to take a trip to the Smoky Mountians in the Tennessee area should seriously consider Echo Canyon Lodge. This roomy mountainside lodge is complete with two large master style bedrooms and upstairs bedrooms that allow you to accommodate all of your family members for the week. There's a welcome basket with goodies and soft drinks. You can fix your meals in the spacious kitchen or outdoor grill if you want to be economical. Our kids enjoyed playing billiards each evening on the pool table as they waited for dinner. All in all, the Echo Canyon Lodge exceeded all the expectations we had for a mountainside cabin in many ways. We would certainly invite you to stay here and enjoy all the moments and memories your family can make and experience together.
