About Lisa and Hank Kiechlin

We recently aquired this home in 2012 from our parents and have fixed it up to make it a very enjoyable vacation destination. The summer of 2013 was our first time renting our home out, and it was a great experience for my husband and I as well as our twins.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why Lisa and Hank Kiechlin chose Spring Lake

Spring Lake is a very sought after vacation spot at the Jersey Shore. The town is very quaint.

Our location is ideal. Stroll to town for shopping, or for breakfast, lunch, or dinner just minutes away. You can ride a bike to the beach, park, tennis, or just tool around and look at the pretty summer homes.

What makes this cottage unique

We have included 5 Beach and Pool bagdes which allows you into the newly renovated North End Pavilion which boast 3 pools! Plus all new full size lockers. We put in a few chairs and umbrella so you would not have to lug them to the beach each day! Plus there are showers within the Pavilion to wash off the sand before riding your bike back to our beach house. There is a concession as well so you can just purchase you snacks, drinks and lunch there. Super convenient.

Location, location, location! Walk 1 block to town for a bite to eat, ice cream, shopping, spa.

Spring Lake Park 1 block for Tennis, playground, fishing, jogging, biking.

Ride or walk 4 blocks to Spring Lake Beach. Five Beach badges included. Locker at North end pavilion, 2 sand chairs and umbrella. Cafe at beach provides meals, ice cream and snacks.

Quaint historic home, perfect for a relaxing vacation with family

  • 5 of 5

After growing up going to Spring Lake, I was excited to bring my own family here for the first time. My husband, our two girls (ages 4 and 2 1/2) and I really loved our stay. The house is walkable to town, which meant many easy strolls to ice cream shops, the hardware store when we needed something, breakfasts out, and coffee. It is also a couple short blocks from the lake (perfect for the girls who enjoyed looking at the flowers, throwing stones, and searching for turtles) as well as a fantastic playground we went to almost every day. Some days we walked to the beach, others we drove if we had a lot of extra gear in tow, but either way it was easy.

The owners were very responsive and had everything ready for us when we arrived. The house itself has a few quirks (to be expected in an old house!) but was very comfortable and we were easily able to have my parents visit for a night without feeling crowded. We loved having a bit of a backyard and a grill. Having a washer and dryer, as well as a small dishwasher, was a nice bonus and allowed us to pack lighter. The street was quiet and neighbors friendly (one brought us a small beach tent made for kids!), as we spent every night sitting on the front porch.

Thank you, Lisa, for such a great stay. We look forward to coming back again!

Relaxing Beach Home

  • 4 of 5

Delightful beach home very close to downtown Spring Lake. The property was clean and all amenities were provided. The kitchen is dated but all appliances are in good working condition. The front porch is spacious and very relaxing. A new gas grill and dining area in the rear yard was a definite plus. There are room air conditioners throughout the house that kept the temperature comfortable even on very warm days. Not all the bedrooms have air conditioners.

Our hosts were very gracious and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy all Spring Lake has to offer.

Delightful stay in wonderful town!

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family was lucky enough to stay in this darling home where we enjoyed breakfast and evening conversations on the front porch. The backyard was fine, but we seemed to love congregating in the front. From the sheets and towels to the set up in the kitchen, this home was just great! Lisa was wonderful to work with, and we loved having the locker at the North Pavilion, which allowed us to leave our beach equipment and cooler for lunch. We have always been in love with the Jersey Shore, but Spring Lake and 410 Morris Avenue have sealed the deal. It is near town, which was a fun bonus for the shoppers, and being able to walk everywhere was divine. Thank you Lisa for sharing your home with us! We would love to be back next year!

Exactly as Described--Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Rented this cottage for the last week of August and the first week of September. It was a delightful home that was very well located--one block to the unique shops and restaurants of Spring Lake and four blocks to the ocean. The nicely decorated home came with all the needed amenities--beach chairs, towels, bed linens, fully equipped kitchen, etc. No dishwasher but that is a small quibble. Very nice gas grill and outdoor dining area out back--wonderful shady front porch that captured the ocean breezes. Really enjoyed it all!
