About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bath in Quiet Neighborhood

Tahoe is pet friendly and so are we! This cozy cabin is located in Tahoe Vista right off of highway 267, just minutes from Kings Beach and Northstar. The neighborhood is very quiet and the house is located right next to one of the Tahoe National Forest’s great hiking, biking and snowmobile trails. If you are looking for a spot nestled in the woods, this is it! It is a spacious home with an updated kitchen, idealistic gas fireplace and large living and dining area – perfect for families or a group of friends looking to unwind in beautiful North Lake Tahoe.

The three bedrooms can easily sleep six, four adults and two kids in the twin bunk beds (bunks not meant for anyone over 60 pounds). There is also a queen-sized pull out sofa in the loft area that sleeps an additional two. There are two full-sized bathrooms.

Entertainment features include a gas BBQ located off the side of the house that is covered for use all year round. Also included is a TV and BlueRay player with Netflix (no cable or satellite service) as well as an assortment of BlueRay discs and board games to choose from. Enjoy!

About Cara Battino

Growing up in the Bay Area we have spent countless summers and winters up in Lake Tahoe. It was always a dream of ours to own a place up there so we could enjoy it as much as possible ourselves and to be able to share it with family, friends...and YOU!

Cara Battino purchased this house in 2012

Why Cara Battino chose Lake Tahoe North Shore CA

We knew we wanted to be in North Shore but the question was where. After looking at multiple homes in Kings Beach, Carnelian Bay and Tahoe Vista we came across this house and knew we had found 'the one'. The location of this house is perfect, close enough to several ski resorts and beaches and all the hiking trails you could want. Plus all the essentials are a quick drive down the highway. But the neighborhood is just peaceful, we really feel like we get away from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area when we come up.

What makes this house unique

Having a home nestled right in the Tahoe National Forest is just a dream. We are surrounded by trails that wind through the trees, a beautiful scene both in the summer and in the snow-covered winter.

Tahoe Vista

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Tahoe Vista house. We felt right at home the minute we walked in. The house is clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and safe. Great location that was perfect for the kids! We would love to stay again and would highly recommend this property.

Clean and Comfortable in a Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

We (seven adults and an infant) spent Thanksgiving here and this home met and exceeded our expectations. The home backs on a beautiful pine forest, is close to snowmobile and hiking trails, but is within easy driving distance of the city of Kings Beach shopping and public beaches. It provided a sense of getting away from it all but not too far away. The gas fireplace was enjoyable, the bedrooms are spacious and there are plenty of dishes and silverware. The washer and dryer were welcome. Cara responded promptly to all inquiries. There is a blender but no handheld mixer and if you want more than 6 people to sit at the dining table, take folding chairs. It snowed while were were there and the streets were cleared in a timely manner. We'd definitely stay here again.

Tahoe Vista/Kings Beach cabin

  • 5 of 5

This home has LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION - close to Lake Tahoe, Safeway, etc. The home is very comfortable and roomy. Forest Service road only 100 feet from the home - great for hiking. More than one wash cloth would have been nice and more than one key would have been very helpful. She has Netflix, but no TV. That said, we would definitely stay there again, Cara was easy to work with.

Great house and great location for families

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay! The house is in a great location, cozy and homey. The owner responds very quickly and is very friendly. We came with our 2 year old grandson and he had a fantastic time. The backyard opens up to wilderness and we able to hike straight from the backyard. The only issue we had was the side deck doesn't have railings on the stairs, could be problematic for a young family or elderly couple. Thank you again! We will absolutely stay here again.

Good house, responsive owners, but cleaning company didn't come

  • 4 of 5

The house is in a good location: hiking trails nearby and close driving to King's Beach and amenities in town. It was a good setup for our group (one couple and two singles with two dogs), and we were able to easily cook at the house for a few meals. The internet is fast enough for streaming video.

One star off because the night we arrived, we quickly realized the cleaning company had not come since the last occupants. Luckily they stock enough sheets and towels in the linen closet that we had what we needed for the first night. Cara (one of the owners) was very responsive, agreed to give us a large refund, and arranged for the cleaners to come first thing in the morning. It's not ideal that the cleaners didn't come before we were there, but I appreciated how the owners handled it.
