About Vince Hubert

We are family owned and operated and we take pride in our rental cabins. It was built by myself and a few friends in 2007. We have 2 children and they love the cabin and the area as much as we do. I'm positive that you'd love it too!!

Vince Hubert purchased this cabin in 2007

What makes this cabin unique

There is a pool table in the basement, a dock on the water to fish or swim from. There is a nearby boat ramp 1/2 mile down the road and we also have boat and jet ski rentals available!

Gorgeous house and view, poor amenities

  • 2 of 5

The ad for this house states river access, yet there is a wide swath of large rocks, a deliberate part of the landscaping, that prevents walking to the river, with no path or stairs. The ad also mentions a gas fireplace that suggests cozy cuddling; instead, it is a cheap tiny unit two feet from the pool table. All the beds are doubles, inadequate for my son and son-in-law who are both over 6 feet. The cheap mattresses with ditches in the middle were covered with hot slippery cheap polyester sheets from Wal-Mart. The stove is old and two burners worked poorly. The refrigerator leaked puddles of water onto the kitchen floor. The kitchen sink dripped constantly. The kitchen was poorly equipped with old and in some cases rusty and broken items clearly purchased at Goodwill. The floors creaked so loudly that my middle-of -the night visit to the bathroom woke everyone sleeping below.

Had a good stay

  • 4 of 5

We had a very nice stay here, the owner was nice enough to let us bring our dog, which was great. The only issue we had was that the bathroom door on the main floor didn't lock, which was very inconvenient, you either had to go upstairs or to the basement. Also the wifi was a bit slow, and since most of us didnt have cell service out there, it would have been nice to have faster internet.

Owner's Response: Very sorry for the inconvenience. Wished you had let me know I would have replaced. Lock has since been replaced. Local telephone company is in process of upgrading to fiber transmission so hopefully speeds will increase soon!!!

Owner's Response: Finally figured out how to respond to these! Went through notes on this -17 texts and 8 emails to find no reference at all about wanting a boat until the text at 2:40 on Saturday afternoon with a thunderstorm on the way. I did have a boat on water available in front of cabin. Just need some notice for a rental as I do not have office on site. As for payment, she had only paid a deposit. I ran her balance 2 days after she checked out. Didn't think that would be an issue paying for a service after you received it.

Wonderful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The pictures of this cabin do not do it justice. An absolutely wonderful cabin, attentive property owners who provided the best customer service possible. The kitchen was fully stocked with any utensils you could need from an electric skillet, blender, crock pot, stock pots and much more. This made prepared meals for a large group rather easy. Finally, the view of the river were breath taking. Very enjoyable stay, will be back!
