Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Convenient & clean but a little dated. Walking distance to many restaurants and if your looking for your exercise you can even walk down to Broadway. At time of our stay lots of building in the area but worker were very respectful and no bother. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect house and location!

  • 5 of 5

Was awesome location and really nice home for us girls. 6 of us had a 30 yr college reunion and felt very comfortable there. Only 1 trash bag and wished there was laundry detergent to help wash sheets and towels though. Would come back for sure! Thanks for having us! :)

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed the home and was able to walk to nearly all of Nashville. Ellen was transparent about the construction in the neighborhood which was good to know beforehand- and we really didn't find it to be intrusive to this property + our stay. Uber was never more than a 5 minute wait either. Ellen was also easy to reach with all questions we had. We would come back again!

great location, cozy and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Everything about our stay was very easy, the property was as described, and everything we needed was in place. This location is perfect for being close to the Gulch, South Broadway and 12 South districts...all a short Uber ride away.

Not great, not terrible. Worth the price.

-The neighborhood is under a flow of redesign money where the older homes are being eliminated. The construction is from some awful looking residences going up as part of upgrading Nashville. No construction during the evening or weekends and the workers clear out. They are there early during the week (7:30ish) and will steal your parking spaces until they are done for the day.

-This is an older home which is not a problem but it is in need of some upgrades. Wall sockets are old and loose, living room could be modernized (i.e. a mounted TV vice one in a bulky hutch) and the living room furniture is not very comfortable.

-Coffee pot, dryer filter and high dust needed attention. A cleaning crew following a checklist would have found such items. There were too many items we did not need (soaps, shampoo, conditioner, moon pies) and missing the things we did (trash bags, laundry soap). Perishable items should be checked for expiration dates. Such items left by other visitors should probably be disposed of when they depart.

-I have stayed at many VRBO’s and I fail to understand why owners believe that sheer see through curtains are desirable for a guest staying in a strange neighborhood.

-Beds are comfortable and each room is private. We had six people staying with us and no one complained about not getting a good night’s sleep. There are plenty of extra linens and blankets available.

-The front and the back of the house are divided by a door (Needs adjustment to close smoother). This is great for any early risers who might want to hang out in the kitchen or living room to read, watch TV and enjoy a cup of coffee without bothering anyone. It does list for 7 people with a futon but it is located in the dining room/kitchen area. We were there during the Stanley Cup playoffs and for the most part the neighborhood was quiet.

-The dining room table is small but worked fine for us and the kitchen had all of the appliances we needed. We ordered in a couple of times and no one had any problems finding the place.

-Even though there is only one bathroom, we made a simple shower schedule and no one ran out of hot water. There are mirrors in the bedrooms for any grooming needs as well.

-The location is great and much of downtown Nashville (Gulch/Broadway) is within a 10 to 30 minute walk. The price is reasonable considering the typical summer costs for 6 people to stay in the area. If returning with a group of people I would consider using again

Thank you for a wonderful stay! There were three couples that stayed here and it was very comfortable! I was worried that there was only one bathroom for 6 people, but each bedroom has a mirror for us ladies to get ready, so zero issues. We stayed Friday-Monday & there is construction going on all around this home, but we were not bothered by them at all. Parking was a bit of an issue when we got there on Friday, but not too bad. One day we walked down to Broadway and back, it is a bit of a distance, but not bad. We had zero issues getting a cab or Uber. The Gulch neighborhood is up & coming and can't wait to go back when it's completely done. If I could suggest anything, it would be to get a new TV service. We didn't watch much TV, but liked watching the news in the AM & the cable kept going out. Overall we had a great stay, highly recommended!
