Our stay in your cabin was an awesome experience. This cabin is very cozy and amazingly beautiful. You made us feel like at home. Your property Managers welcomed us like if we were family. Thank you for your amazing service. This was one of our best Christmases ever!
This cabin has everything you need and the caretakers are very helpful. It's in close proximity to Lake Heron and Chama. Take the train ride it's a must see!
We stayed here for my parent's 40th anniversary and there was plenty of room for the 10 of us. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed. It was easy to find and the whole trip went smoothly. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back again!
Our family was attending a 5 day family reunion in Chama, NM and a colleague at work had recommended this site to rent a home for a family versus renting a hotel. This was the best decision we could have done. The property located in the Brazos area was amazing! The size of the house was perfect for all 6 of us staying there with a baby, with room to spare. The beds and linen were clean, the space was more than we could have asked for. The fact that they have a new water system made it so much nicer for all of us, both for cooking and drinking. The full use kitchen had everything you need to cook for your family without an added expense of eating out, plus they have a grill for outdoor cooking as well. The outside of the house is perfect to sit out and enjoy the scenery with a wrap around porch, which has always been a dream of mine to have. In the early mornings, if you're lucky, you get deer that come up to the porch to greet you. Remember to take crackers to feed them. My grand baby, who is 18 months, loved this. She was so excited. We loaded FB with pictures to family and they were all amazed. At night, the area is quiet and peaceful and taking in the beautiful sounds of nature with a nice glass of wine is priceless. You will never find another place like this one. And did I tell you that the greatest feature of all is a washer and dryer, so when you return home, the chore of doing laundry is gone! This is one of most memorable family getaways that we have ever had. I can't wait til I can do it again. Special thanks to Michelle and her husband who manage the property. They did an amazing job and were attentive to our every need. So if you are planning a trip to this area, check this place out, you will have no regrets, plus the price is less than that of hotels for the amount of days.
A large group of us stayed in this wonderful cabin for 2 nights over the holidays. We loved every minute spent here! The cabin is located in a beautiful area skirting the Brazos and not too far from Chama. There is plenty of room to play outside and the cabin's large open spaces allow for a group of 11 to fit quite comfortably. Like previous reviews have mentioned, it is definitely a good idea to bring your own drinking water for the length of your stay. Other than that we felt right at home in this private and serene environment.
Took family up to cabin including in-laws and their kids. Everyone had a great time hiking and feeding the deer. Was one of the most fun and relaxing trips weve taken together. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a weekend getaway.
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. The cabin and the location were fantastic .... very beautiful and peaceful, and in close proximity to a lot of things to do. The property manager was very helpful. The only negative, in our opinion, was that the cabin was not as clean as it should have been, and the water supplied by the well on the location was not useable for drinking or cooking, etc. --- smelled bad, and was full of minerals. However, we were warned of this by the property manager before our stay.
