Pagosa Springs House Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths (Sleeps 6) Hot Tub With Views

Relax in our peaceful 2400 sq. ft. home with hot tub on the deck, peaceful surroundings, views, fully-equipped kitchen, internet connection, TV w/ cable. Lots of space to spread out, private, tree-filled lot. Hike to fishing lake. Lots of board games, foosball and a piano (although a little out of tune)

Master bedroom has Cal King bed & private 3/4 bath and deck off the sliding door. Extra seating and small desk for private time makes this room a favorite.

2nd BR hosts over-sized twin bed (large enough for two small bodies) The antique furniture in this room has been in the family for quite a while, and the full bath is right next door.

3rd BR is downstairs with a California King bed. We call this the Snow White room. See photos and you'll see why.

Adjoining room has a double futon and a really comfortable, leather couch. Extra sheets, blankets & pillows are available. Laundry room is convenient too. Our hot tub is maintained regularly. Pets seem to enjoy this space too.

Suitability:
  • Events Allowed
  • children welcome
  • non smoking only

About Joe Hoyle

Since moving to Pagosa Springs in 2004, we have both said, ' this is where we feel most at home.' We hope you will too. We left California soon after becoming empty-nesters and both our children have lived with us for short periods of time since then. Several of our friends have also stayed with us throughout the years. It is a place we love, and feel so fortunate that we can share it with others.

Joe Hoyle purchased this house in 2004

Why Joe Hoyle chose Southwest

We love our home and the Pagosa Springs area, but work takes us elsewhere. We started visiting Pagosa in 1993, and continued until we finally bought Dancing Bear Acres. We hope to come back to live there, but until we do, we love to share it with others. It is a relaxing retreat for us whenever we visit. Our routine is to make a cup of coffee and hit the hot tub first thing in the morning, although night-time star gazing is amazing from the warmth of the hot tub too.

We have had several large gatherings with family and friends, and enjoy the outdoor campfire during the summer - roasting marshmallows and singing.

What makes this house unique

Joe had seen this house on the internet for about a year before finally making the decision to come see it. We made an offer that same day. We knew we wanted to move eventually, but when we finally came, the move happened pretty quickly. We feel blessed to be able to still spend some time there, and hope to have family gatherings in the future.

Home away from home

This is my second time in two months to stay here. My wife and I love it. This time we brought my brother and sister in law. They fell in love with the property as well. It is quiet, clean, and well-appointed. The deck is just as nice in the fall as it is in summer. The kitchen is magnificent. Great place for two couples or a family. There isn't a thing to complain about.

Comfortable home with aweome views!

  • 5 of 5

Truly enjoyed our week stay at Dancing Bear Acres! Comfortable for our family which included 4 adults & 1 grandson (age 2) plus our dogs. Very grateful we were able to bring our dogs, who enjoyed the house & outdoors! We took many walks with them. Also went to Echo Lakes for walks, which you can see part of the lake at the top of this property. The mountain views are on 3 sides of the house, stunning!

We didn't get a chance to use the hot-tub, even though we had planned to. But Joe had sent me the link for the hot springs & we got a weeks pass for everyone. The drive is only about 10 min away & we were down there 2-3 times a day.

We cooked most of our meals on the grill in the evening after shopping at the local Walmart for food (maybe 15 min away). Also dined at a couple local places for lunches such as the Mexican restaurant across the bridge from the hot springs.

Not only are the views beautiful, the wildlife is fun to watch! Many different birds come (they leave suet & birdseed so you can refill), crazy squirrels that look like a mix with a rabbit (!), so many deer & a pretty fox came through!

We had sunny days except the last two days when it rained. I loved it! The mountains had fog & clouds coming down, it was just as much fun to watch as on the sunny days. Plus it didn't stop us from going to the hot springs!

The house has plenty of room for privacy, there's satellite tv down in the family room, wifi for our daughter who had to work while there, a good selection of kitchen items. Just a comfortable home in a good neighborhood. Easy to find by GPS, a quick trip from town.

We hope to stay at Dancing Bear Acres the next time we come back to Pagosa Springs. Joe is quick to answer texts and emails, this house is a good deal!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much Cindy, we are overjoyed that you had a pleasurable stay. We feel the same way about whatever weather comes our way in Pagosa. I love the springs when the rain or snow falls. Joe Hoyle Dancing Bear Acres

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

This place was great & very nice. It was in a great setting with great views and centrally located so that all the attractions in the area were easy to get to. We will definitely stay there again in the future. Thank you Hoyle family for sharing this with us.

Enjoyed Dancing Bear Acres

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the house and the nice views, and view of Echo Lake. We saw a red fox at the front door, mule deer. Magpies, Stellar Jay, squirrels and chipmonks. The grandbabies ( 23 months and 4 year old) loved the decks, walking around, wildlife, camp fire, we added 2 stumps for sitting on and fishing on the lake. And scenic drives and driving through Pagosa Springs and going shopping. Written by Mimi,

Beautiful property!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a week long stay at your cabin (home). It was spacious and had everything you would need. I had to work a little while there, and appreciated the good internet connection. We cooked many meals in the kitchen and enjoyed watching the wildlife come and go around the yard. Went on some beautiful drives, did some 4-wheeling on the trails, and ate at several nice restaurants nearby. The hot tub felt great on cool fall evenings. Was hoping to do the train ride down by Chama, NM but that day was rainy and foggy, so will try that on our next trip. Thanks for sharing your home with us....we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Owner is One in a Million

  • 5 of 5

The property is lovely, on a hill and you can enjoy peace and quiet and a beautiful view of the lake. Every morning we woke up to deer, beautiful birds and smell of a nice mountain rain.

There were a few items that we needed Joe to take a look at and within minutes he personally called me after I sent him an email. Who does that these days????? I can assure anyone that rents this property if you have something you need to discuss with Joe he's going to make it right.

Thanks Joe, I was blown away by your sincerity and customer service, you're one in a million!

The 'Pagosah' hot springs are our favorite local hangout and a must do after skiing or hiking. The choice of three different venues for a therapeutic soak are what make these hot springs great. Our favorite for a swim, The Healing Waters Spa. For relaxation and views, try The Springs Resort. The recreational lake is walking distance from the house and provides a beautiful setting for bird watching, sunsets, moon rise and star gazing. Scenic biking trails are abundant throughout the area. We always take our guests to Treasure Falls, just up Hwy 160 about a 20 minute drive.
