About William Huberty
Jeanneane and I are highschool sweethearts that grew up together, which at that time was the small river town/farm town of Hastings MN. We both have a great love for the outdoors and everything it has to offer. Particularly the Brule River and Lake Superior. We were married at the picnic area at the mouth of the Brule River. Since that time, we have acquired several properties along the lower Brule River. It is our retirement goal to do what we love: to do our best and share the allure of the Brule River and Lake Superior with family and friends.
William Huberty purchased this Cabin in 2009

This amazing find is hidden away from the city for a great get away. It’s located so close to the mouth of the Brule right off Lake Superior. There are plenty of sightseeing area located near by.
The house is clean and neat. Plenty of room for everyone. Owner is great.
The house overlooks the Brule river with the lake in the distance. The lake was red from the ore when we were there so we didn't all go swimming. The kids did though! The home is great and the outhouse is clean and new. The lake is walking distance from the house and has a small spit of sand. There are games and many movies in the house and it is really a great rental. We saw lots of wildlife! Loved our stay. Amazing sunsets from the side porch or the living room. Sauna downstairs that we didn't use. GREAT home for a family or two depending on size of family. Totally enjoyed our stay there. Come with groceries because the stores are a good 30 minutes away. Lake Nabagamon is nearby and wonderful!
Great experience. Would rent again.
Great location on the Brule and Lake Superior
Our group of 6 adults and 3 kids enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Seems like a ideal location for hunters / fishers.
3 bedrooms with 5 queen beds in total. Basement has a futon as well. We didn't seem to have a problem with the one full bathroom in the house. The outhouse was clean, newly updated and BUG FREE! Yay!
Nice big fire pit and a huge yard we used to light some fireworks (July 4). 5 minute walk to the mouth of the river & Lake Superior. Very small beach (a spit of sand actually), but kids enjoyed nevertheless. The boat launch was nice (typical MN/WI launch from asphalt ramp, nothing fancy).
We'll be back!
Great no-frills cabin, incredible view
We loved our stay at this property. It's a serious outdoorsman's cabin with a lot of character. The layout is very efficient and provided plenty of space for our party (three couples plus one child). The view of Lake Superior is great.
Awesome Brule River Property
My wife and I have stayed at Bill and Jeanneane’s cabin at the mouth of the Brule 5 or 6 times now and each visit has been a wonderful. The cozy cabin has three large bedrooms and will easily sleep 10 guests. The large wrap-around deck has stunning views of Lake Superior and the Brule River. The lower level has a game room to keep the kids occupied while the adults enjoy the sunset.
The cabin is located a short walk from the mouth of the Brule River with its long sandy beach. The cabin is a great base camp for fisherman who want to enjoy the world class fishing offered by the Brule River. The drive to Bayfield along Highway 13 is very scenic and there are numerous historic fishing villages along the way. As always, we had a terrific time at this property and will be back!
