Great Location in Stunning Taormina

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this superb house for 1 week at the beginning of August 2018 and it certainly lived up to our expectations.

Davide (owner) made life very easy in terms of communications and helpful recommendations. Our security deposit was also repaid within a couple of days of our return and we have every intention of returning to Villa Ida in the future.

The house worked very well for us (2 adults and grown up children aged 24 and 21) because there was no shortage of things to do both in the daytime and evening. In terms of location it doesn't really get much better with the house tucked away in a quiet street just a stones throw from the main street 'Corso Umberto' with numerous bars, shops, and restaurants.

As described the house has everything you need for a relaxing stay and Taormina is a stunning seaside location with fantastic views over the bay from numerous vantage points in the town.

No hesitation in giving this 5 stars as it was such a memorable experience in a perfect location.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Villa Ida is a lovely house with its own private garden where you can relax without being disturbed

The location is perfect as it is walking distance from the main high street , corso umberto, giving you easy access to a variety of bars and restaurants. Also walking distance to the cable car so easy to get to beach as well.

The house itself is well equipped with all amenities ,cooker, washing machine ,microwave etc. Six of us stayed and found it was enough space for us. The two bathrooms were handy

The owner Davide was friendly and helpful from start to finish , helping with taxi recommendations for airport transfer , restaurant recommendations and planning nights out. He was an added bonus to trip and I would 100% stay again in his lovely home

Lovely villa in great location!

  • 5 of 5

We have recently returned from a week staying at Villa Ida. It was perfect for our needs! Davide was quick to return emails and was very helpful. Antonella who looks after the Villa was also very pleasant and helpful. We are a family of 6 and there was plenty of room for us all. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed shopping at the market and cooking up some lovely Sicilian meals. The location is excellent - minutes from the Corso Umberto with all its bars cafes and lovely shops, yet tucked down a quiet side street so we did not hear much noise. We had the upstairs double bedroom and it was very quiet indeed. (Our sons shared the downstairs bedroom and they did hear some noise in the early mornings.) The garden is delightful and we had breakfast and lunch out there every day. There is plenty of garden furniture, and lovely orange and lemon trees. The orange tree was in blossom when we were there and it smelled divine!! There is also a small roof terrace which is used for drying washing, but I enjoyed sitting up there in the afternoon to soak up some sunshine when the garden below was shaded by the trees. I am very glad that we chose to stay at Villa Ida and would certainly be keen to stay again if we return to the beautiful town of Taormina!

Great location and gardens

  • 5 of 5

We found ourself just of the Corso Umberto, in a beautiful old villa, with great gardens. This was a massive plus for us, as our children (18, 18 and 16) loved to chill on the deck chairs and play cards, after a day of being out.

The kitchen was well equipped to let us do some home cooking. If you however do like cooking, you are near many good food establishments and bars (Bam Bar!!!)- so don't worry.

The service provided by Davide (his communication was fantastic), along with Salvatore (taxi), Claudia and Antonella was excellent.

Beautiful House

  • 5 of 5

Villa Ida was set in a beautiful garden with lemon and orange trees. The garden was well kept and had a good range of garden furniture. The house itself was well equipped with everything you needed. We were a party of six adults and found the accomodation excellent.

The booking process was easy and Davide answered any questions very quickly.

Lovely cottage in heart of Taormins

  • 4 of 5

We and our 2 kids aged 8 and 6, thoroughly enjoyed our late autumn break at Villa Ida. Being right at the heart of beautiful bustling Taormina was ideal. You step out of the cute garden onto a quiet street, and everything is there, bakery, restaurants and shops. Having the garden is quite special so central. The house itself is charming and very spacious. We recommend restaurant Shelter, around the corner, great food and particularly good service. Though there are plenty more, also good. We loved the views and setting of the beaches in front of Isola Bella, truly stunning! We also drove out to the sandy beach at Giardini Naxos. Autumn is a perfect time to come, warm enough to swim and to take long walks. Thank you to Davide for making Villa Ida available and making everything run so smoothly.
