Why Owner / Property Manager chose Millrift
This property is unique to say the least. You enter the Pond Eddy bridge in NY and half way over the bridge you enter PA. The house is on a private- secluded - scenic road that has only a few neighboring houses. The house sits right on the Delaware River and is surrounded by 1000's of acres of State Land. It is an incredible place to stay weather you want an outdoor adventure or to just relax with a good book and enjoy the nature all around you.

What's Not To Like"
This is one of those "good news, bad news" situations. Which do you want first? O-K, I'll decide for you. The "good news" is that you won't find a more desirable getaway. The "bad news" is that you won't want to leave it. "The cabin", with all its modern conveniences, has a feeling of cleanliness and coziness. It sits under an umbrella of towering shade trees arching over a lawn that stretches more than the length of a football field--and half as wide as one--ending at the banks of the Delaware River. Beyond the rapids which are visible from the covered deck, you can see clear to the other side of the river, where the banks of it butt up against a stretch of the lower Catskills. And, if you keep your eyes peeled, through a good pair of binoculars, you can see Bald Eagles on the hunt and nesting in the trees in the tops of the trees along the horizon. Even indoors, you feel you're outside, as the cabin is decorated with scenes and artifacts of the nature just outside the front door. Much of the furniture itself, artistically cut from local wood, is a reminder that you are far from the maddening crowd.
A nice base camp
My family and I enjoyed our stay on this nice property and lovely home. The house was clean and comfortable. We were hoping to be able to paddle our kayaks to and from the front of the house but the eddy like waters in that area meant we had to have a pickup down river and we could not swim or float safely in the spot. Not being familiar with the Delaware river gave me false expectations. We did enjoy venturing out each day for hikes and shopping. We really liked the town of Milford. We had a great raft trip. We caught some fish from the river in front of the property. The road noises and the neighbors construction made for a less than peaceful experience but overall it was great. The covered deck was a great place to read and dodge the rain. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a clean comfortable place to return after exploring the area!
Nice place to get away to.
The property was very clean and you could tell that the property owners spent time to present a rustic experience. A nice secluded area with the Delaware as a river front. I would readily recommend.
Excellent accomodations with a Delaware river view
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Except dishwasher (not an issue for us), the kitchen had all necessities. Wood and starter was provided for inside fireplace and outside firepit. We really enjoyed the deck for lunch/dinner. There is a gas BBQ that was easy to use. There is a nice viewing deck at the end of the lawn from which one has access to the river down a steep stairway, which we explored. Also, lots of TV channels and information about the area.
The street access to the cabin is through a small road along the Delaware river, need to be careful as it is rather narrow.
The owner was easy to communicate with - we did so before the booking and did not need afterwards, since we had everything we needed.
I would recommend the cabin and would go again.
A Gem on the river!
The house has been meticulously cared for and maintained. Follow your Google maps and cross the old bridge, which is in the process of being replaced. I didn't have a chance to use the fire pits, but the stove and microwave were clean and worked great. WiFi worked great, lots of channels on the TV. Can't wait to visit again.
Quiet and comfortable; we had the most relaxing weekend!
Right on the PA side of the Delaware River, this lovely house was spotless and had all the comforts of home. Beautiful clean linens, good water pressure, fully-equipped kitchen, and comfortable sofas. We loved the "breakfast nook" dining area, and the large countertop for playing boardgames. We had a great time over a three-day weekend, and would definitely return! Thank you, Lisa!
