About the owner: We bought the property 31 years ago and built the cabin ourselves out of logs from the property. We peeled them with the old fashioned draw knives. Over the years whether we lived near or far we have always come back to this cabin and had our summer vacations here. In 2012 we happily moved back to Maine and built a year round house on the same property. We figured others would enjoy the cabin vacation as well and are happy to offer it for rent.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
The unique nature of this cabin is that it is very private yet only 2 miles from the center of Blue Hill. We are also close to some of the most beautiful coastline in the world, the Blue Hill Peninsula is home to Deer Isle, Stonington and many other beautiful small communities. Great kayaking and hiking right close by. We are close to Bar Harbor, home of Acadia National Park, a popular summer attraction. We have 2 swimming ponds on the property and have built a 45 foot labyrinth for walking meditations.
