About Maggie Domby
Our family loves the outdoors and the Blue Ridge/ Ocoee area. Last Year, we bought our first cabin in Blue Ridge to use and rent out on occassion. The first cabin has been so successful that we decided to buy another (this one). We have used VRBO almost exclusively for a decade and have taken the best from each property we've stayed in and incorporated into our own.
Maggie Domby purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Maggie Domby chose Blue Ridge
We really weren't in the market, but we were looking on Trulia one day and this property had just been offered for sale. For us, the cabin is a perfect getaway for outdoor enthusiasts who still like the finer things. We jumped on it immediately as we recognized the value and loved the fact that the acreage is level but on top of a beautiful mountain!
What makes this Cabin unique
The final selling point was the outside fireplace. Not to mention the cabin is well built and it is very convenient to the best the area has to offer. You are close to everything but still in the mountains.

Great Place to Relax
My family, two adults and three children, thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful cabin. My kids especially enjoyed the sky chairs out on the screened in porch and the outdoor fireplace. But we all enjoyed the hot tub together and seeing the stars at night from the screened in porch. We also enjoyed watching some movies inside at night as we sat by the remote controlled fireplace which burned so nicely. The beds were big but kind of soft (I prefer a firmer mattress) and the sheets/comforters were warm and comfortable. One bonus for us was walking and exploring trail up the mountain right next to the cabin. We even found an old sawmill complete with rusted equipment and a large unusable saw. The upstairs master bedroom also has a screened in porch which is perfect for late night talks and star-gazing. This is a great place to stay with downtown Blue Ridge close by and lots of trails and tubing within a short driving distance. We enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this cabin!
Amazing is an umderstatement.
My wife and I wanted a relaxing vacation for our anniversary. The cabin and Maggie did not disappoint. In 7 days we heard 2 vehicles pass by. The rest of the time was the birds and squirrels. Very comfortable and the fireplace on the porch was the cherry on top.
The owners were amazing!! Thank you for everything!!
My husband I just returned from this wonderful cabin and it was a very relaxing weekend. We spent most of our time on the screened porch in front of the fireplace or in the hot tub. The cabin was well-stocked and had everything we needed for cooking. The owner was very easy to work with and fast to respond. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. We would definitely come back!
Our 50th Anniversary was a success!!
Very nice cabin. We enjoyed our stay. Both Maggie and Chris were very accommodating when we had questions. Response time was great. The one thing I would say, you need all wheel drive. Our Subaru with Xmode did great!!
Beautiful cabin and wonderful view.
They cabin was even better than the pictures. We loved it and plan on returning again.
Perfect Location to enjoy both the outdoors and the best of Blue Ridge. 10 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge where you'll find fine dining, boutique shops and several watering holes. Less than 15 mins to the Ocoee for Whitewater rafting, mountain biking, kayaking, ziplining, etc. Less than five minutes to the quaint town of MCcaysville/ Copperhill. Several places to horseback ride or experience the best trout fishing in the Southeast. Waterfalls and hiking trails abound. Tube down the Toccoa with the put in less than 10 minutes away. Or... just relax and enjoy the sounds of nature at this mountain top retreat. Once you get here, you may not want to leave - honestly......
