Our fully renovated vintage cottage is located on Front Street and offers a large & very comfortable living and dining room area. The kitchen is fully equipped for your convenience. Laundry Room w/ stack-able washer and dryer and ½ bath are located on the first floor.

A quiet bedroom with a queen size bed is located on the second floor w/ full bath.

The second floor porch has wonderful water views. Live oak trees house many birds and envelope the area making the porch feel like a tree house. A very private and wonderful place to read, relax, reflect.

This cottage has been renovated to accommodate two guests but no pets.

It is a quick drive by car or bike ride, less than one mile, from our house to the Front Street Historic District which offers a selection of wonderful restaurants & bars, pool hall, museums, waterfront boardwalk with boats anchored from places unknown, coffee shops, wine bar, wonderful relaxed shopping, ferries to take you to the barrier islands and Cape Lookout.

Walking through the shaded streets brings you to the past with beautiful houses, some dating back 250 years or more. Houses owned by ship captains, merchants, fishermen & pirates. And let’s not forget the old Beaufort Burying Ground, one of the oldest cemeteries in North Carolina. It is not surprising that Beaufort, NC - has been voted the coolest small town in the United States.

Spent two weeks during a difficult time. The cottage was a welcome respite. Beautiful location and welcoming owners.

                                                              Great location and wonderful hostess.

                                                              Lawrence H.-

We had reason to visit the area during a "shoulder" season. This house proved to be perfect for the two of us. We arrived pretty late on a Thursday night and we were pulling a boat. Virginia met us and directed us where to park the boat and then gave us a quick tour of the house. It was clean and welcoming and had all of the necessities. The next morning we found the nearby boat ramp easily and we took advantage of their offer to use the dock. The home is a short drive from the heart of the Beaufort and several good restaurants. We would not hesitate to book again.

Coastal charm and comfort in convenient location

                                                              Linda B.

This was the perfect place for us to stay while we attended a conference at nearby Duke Marine Lab and Maritime Museum. Very roomy and well designed two-story cottage within steps of the waterfront and a dock to soak in the beautiful marine vista and wildlife.... including ponies! We liked the quieter end of Beaufort location and are used to walking long distances but some may need to drive or bike to restaurants in town. Our only regret is that we didn't get to stay longer!

                                                              Wonderful place to stay!

                                                              Sandra E.

The cottage was very comfortable and very nice. Loved the way it was decorated!

                                                              Best kept secret is Beaufort

                                                              Shelby N.

Owner was very personable and greeted us. House was very well kept and beautiful with the antique decoration.

                                                              Great location to enjoy Beaufort

                                                              Sheila N.

Our only regret about our stay was that we only came for four nights. The cottage was convenient to the shopping and dining on Front Street (only a seven minute bike ride) and to Taylor's Creek. We were able to launch our kayaks from the owner's dock across the street although you need to be strong enough to raise and lower a kayak down to the floating dock. The public boat landing is close by too. This was such a beautiful place to kayak, we hope to go back for a full week next time. The owner, Virginia, was always available if we needed something.

Our fully renovated vintage cottage is located off Front Street and offers a large & very comfortable living and dining room area. The kitchen is fully equipped for your convenience. Laundry Room w/ stackable washer and dryer and ½ bath are also located on the first floor.Due to allergic guests no pets are allowed,. A quiet bedroom with a queen size bed is located on the second floor w/ full bath including a whirlpool tub. The second floor"tree porch "has wonderful views. Live oak trees house many birds and envelope the area making the porch feel like a tree house. A very private and wonderful place to read, relax, reflect. This cottage has been renovated to accommodate two guests. It is a quick drive by car or bike ride, approx one mile, from our house to the Front Street Commercial & Historic District which offers a selection of wonderful restaurants & bars, pool hall, museums, waterfront boardwalk with boats anchored from places unknown, coffee shops, wine bar, wonderful relaxed shopping, ferries to take you to the barrier islands and Cape Lookout. Walking through the shaded streets will bring you to the past with beautiful houses, some dating back 250 years or more. Houses owned by ship captains, merchants, fishermen & pirates. And let’s not forget the Old Beaufort Burying Ground, one of the oldest cemeteries in North Carolina. It is not surprising that Beaufort, NC - was recently voted the coolest small town in the United States. Virginia & Bob lived in the Washington, DC area for many years. In 1994 they moved to Atlantic Beach as they both love the sun, sand and ocean. Two years later they purchased a piece of land in Beaufort located on Front Street. The property included a deep water dock on Taylors Creek. The property also included a derelict one bedroom cottage, a barn and enough land to build a house. After building the family home, Virginia & Bob moved to Beaufort. The cottage was then beautifully renovated with an eye to comfort. Family, friends, and friends of friends have stayed at the cottage. Two couples have stayed at the cottage for their honeymoon. It is a great retreat from everyday life for those who come. The family has decided it is now time to offer the cottage to others so that they may find the wonderful experiences available in this area. Beaufort By the Sea is a magic village. Come on down and watch the banker ponies run free on the islands that protect where we live and entices visitors to explore. Sunset sailing and early morning dolphin watch by boat are services offered right down the street.
