About Ron Jadin

We love Brown's Lake so much that we just bought another property just down the street, making this cottage available for rent for the first time this summer. We will be nearby if you need us for help or questions.

Ron Jadin purchased this house in 2008

Why Ron Jadin chose Burlington

We love the view from our deck and family room! You can't help but relax when you enter the door. One of the best locations on the lake for the sandy lakebed and the elevated views. You can watch the sunset from the dock.

What makes this house unique

Roughly 90 feet of sandy lakebed footage, great for swimming, water volleyball and fishing. You can't beat the views from the full wall of windows facing the lake or from the 3 decks.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for opening up your home to us for our Girls Retreat. We had a fabulous time chatting around the beautiful fireplace, making dinner together, and watching movies in the cozy basement. The distance from home was just right and we'll be back. Thank you for the chocolates and coming by to fix the door and deliver ice. Some of us will be back this summer with our families. We are officially reserving this weekend for 2015! See you then!

Beautiful views, relaxing, clean and comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in this house on our mom’s weekend away. The house was so charming and clean. Everything was well appointed. We had a lot of ladies, but there was plenty of space for air mattresses. The lake was beautiful even though we were there on a rainy weekend. The deck and stairs appeared to be under some construction but it didn’t change the beautiful views from the windows. The DVD player would not work which was a little disappointing since it was such a rainy weekend. We would highly reccomend this house to any larger groups looking for a relaxing escape.

Beautiful views , great fire pit, plenty of living space.

  • 4 of 5

Quaint lake home sitting high on a bluff over looking the lake. Enjoyed the ever changing views and amazing sunsets. The fire pit with a duraflame log in the evening was perfect. We ventured out every day. Activities included: lake Geneva boat cruise, an afternoon show at the Dancing Horses, light bites and cocktails at the beautiful Baker house, the Kenosha historical museum and lunch at Kenny’s Diner and a musical comedy at the Malt House put on by the Burlington Hayloft Community Theater. The home was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was great but it did not have any wine glasses. We ran to Walmart and the home now has eight. The owners were very responsive to any communications we had during our stay. We had a great time and I would recommend this home. Since it was October we did not use the dock or water but renters should be aware that there are many steep steps down to the waters edge.

Fabulous views

  • 5 of 5

This house had everything our large group needed for a weekend away. We cooked all meals in the house and it worked well. The dock has all the floaties, kayaks, and paddle boards you could need. We loved how open the main living area of the house was, too. Thanks for the great stay!

Lake views are unbelievable

  • 5 of 5

This is an amazing weekend getaway location. Booked it as an alternative to a hotel for the weekend due to a family wedding taking place nearby and it didn't disappoint. Ron and Jo were kind and so informative. Ron was even nice enough to take my three year old on a little boat ride during one of the days! This house is just perfect for a family getaway. More than enough room for everyone and the decks looking over the lake cannot be beat. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful location, spectacular view!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely home with lots of privacy! Windows and deck allow for amazing views! Beds were soft and comfortable. The basement room was weird (the entrance to basement leaves something to be desired), but my daughters were comfortable there (actual room was nice enough). We really appreciated the owners letting us use the kayak and paddle board. The lake got very busy over the weekend, but we were high above it all. Highly recommended!

Great place!

  • 4 of 5

We truly enjoyed our time here. The steps down to the lake are long, but worth it. The dock is terrific as is the swimming area. There is plenty of shallow area off the dock steps to stand in with a soft, Sandy bottom. Or you can jump and swim off the end of the dock. Fishing is terrific right there too, or you can venture out in the canoe provided or the kayaks/paddle board the owners were nice to let us borrow. 2 walk-in closets in master bedroom were surprise extra spaces for baby/toddler mini rooms either with a pack n play or mattress. Worked great! Only complaints were that the oven was broken the whole week (part was on order) which was a real bummer, very low water pressure in the kitchen sink which made washing dishes more difficult, and the walls to the bedrooms upstairs were super thin. Oh and bring Bug spray! I think they were especially bad due to the flooding in burlington the week or so prior. But all in all a terrific getaway! Amazing memories! Make sure to take the canoe or kayaks out on along the channel loop (kind of hidden channel that loops around the "island" in the middle. I was told it was a .7 mile loop.

Memorial weekend is the Chocolate Festival in Burlington. The fourth of July is a special week to be at the cottage - there are fireworks in town on one night. Then on a separate evening there are fireworks over the lake that you can watch from the dock or join the 200 plus boats in the lake for a spectacular view! Milwaukee is near enough to take in one of the many festivals there.
