About Ron Jadin

We love Brown's Lake so much that we just bought another property just down the street, making this cottage available for rent for the first time this summer. We will be nearby if you need us for help or questions.

Ron Jadin purchased this house in 2008

Why Ron Jadin chose Southeast

We love the view from our deck and family room! You can't help but relax when you enter the door. One of the best locations on the lake for the sandy lakebed and the elevated views. You can watch the sunset from the dock.

What makes this house unique

Roughly 90 feet of sandy lakebed footage, great for swimming, water volleyball and fishing. You can't beat the views from the full wall of windows facing the lake or from the 3 decks.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for opening up your home to us for our Girls Retreat. We had a fabulous time chatting around the beautiful fireplace, making dinner together, and watching movies in the cozy basement. The distance from home was just right and we'll be back. Thank you for the chocolates and coming by to fix the door and deliver ice. Some of us will be back this summer with our families. We are officially reserving this weekend for 2015! See you then!

Great place!

  • 4 of 5

We truly enjoyed our time here. The steps down to the lake are long, but worth it. The dock is terrific as is the swimming area. There is plenty of shallow area off the dock steps to stand in with a soft, Sandy bottom. Or you can jump and swim off the end of the dock. Fishing is terrific right there too, or you can venture out in the canoe provided or the kayaks/paddle board the owners were nice to let us borrow. 2 walk-in closets in master bedroom were surprise extra spaces for baby/toddler mini rooms either with a pack n play or mattress. Worked great! Only complaints were that the oven was broken the whole week (part was on order) which was a real bummer, very low water pressure in the kitchen sink which made washing dishes more difficult, and the walls to the bedrooms upstairs were super thin. Oh and bring Bug spray! I think they were especially bad due to the flooding in burlington the week or so prior. But all in all a terrific getaway! Amazing memories! Make sure to take the canoe or kayaks out on along the channel loop (kind of hidden channel that loops around the "island" in the middle. I was told it was a .7 mile loop.

Unbelievable Views of Brown's Lake!

  • 5 of 5

My extended family and I had a wonderful time in Jo and Ron's lake house. It has just incredible views of the lake, which can be enjoyed from inside the house or, even better, from the multi-level deck. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddleboard, and canoe as well as both fire pits. The bottom of the lake around the dock area is ideal for swimming -- sandy and relatively firm.

The one word of caution I might give is that it is quite a few stairs down to the water, which meant the older folks in our crowd were a bit hesitant to go down to the dock more than a few times a day. But then again, that is the price you pay for that view!

Jo and Ron were great hosts and very responsive. We would definitely like to return one day.

Lovely Lake House

  • 4 of 5

Each summer four professional women friends and I choose a place for an annual get together. This year we spent a week at the lovely lake house. The rooms are spacious, the lake views exquisite, and the house is nestled so it feels secluded from the neighboring cottages. We loved swimming off the piers and made use of the owner’s generous offer to use their kayaks and paddle board.

Having stayed at numerous summer rentals we are perhaps a bit picky. We noticed that the cushions for the deck furniture and the three wonderful decks needed some TLC. We also wished the house had provided local bird and tree books, current area magazines or informative flyers, and more than three wine glasses. In spite of these wishes this was a perfect house for our group to gather and we had a wonderful time.

Beautiful home- A great weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

Myself and 11 other friends stayed here for a girls weekend getaway and all expectations were greatly exceeded! The owners were very accommodating and helpful in leading up to our stay, answering my many questions. Inside of the home is updated and very spacious and the deck and dock are perfect for enjoying the lake and all the views. We were all talking about wanting to stay there again in the future, I most definitely want to go back!

Beautiful House With Stunning Views of Brown Lake!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the lake house in May for a guys weekend and it was such a beautiful property! The views from the deck are something my friends and I will be talking about for a long time! The owners were great to work out of state and trying to plan a trip can be a little stressful at times, but the owners were very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions which helped make this trip a lot easier to plan out. We met them on Saturday and they are both great people! The location was great - on a beautiful lake, close to a place that has ice cream/shakes/malts, only a few minute drive to Walmart/Aldi to stock up on groceries, and not too far from everything else (We got burgers at Fred's..super good!). Our group was Upper 20's-Low 30's and everyone had a great time..we definitely got some use out of the Weber Genesis gas grill and the fire pit on the deck (With Duraflame logs..about $3 from Walmart). I highly recommend staying at this property...we loved it!

Memorial weekend is the Chocolate Festival in Burlington. The fourth of July is a special week to be at the cottage - there are fireworks in town on one night. Then on a separate evening there are fireworks over the lake that you can watch from the dock or join the 200 plus boats in the lake for a spectacular view! Milwaukee is near enough to take in one of the many festivals there.
