About the property

2bd Room 1 Bath , Lg Parking Area, Great Place For Lg Family Gatherings Mt Veiw

After much hard work, laughs, and tears we are ready to share the cabin with you. It has been a true labor of love. Nestled just off Rocky Point Road, with lots of room for extras, tents for the kids, RV's, or vehicles, boats, ATV's, dog run, or just sitting around the wood fire pit. This rustic little house has been newly upgraded to a neat clean cabin with two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dinning room. It will accommodate a family comfortably. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything we could think of pots, pans, baking dishes, roaster, service for ten to twenty people. king size bed and twin bed set in bedroom on level floor. King size bed and twin bed in step down bedroom also enough room for queen size air bed. (provided) Living room is decorated in a comfortable southwestern style. Dinning table will seat 4 with lots of extra sitdown room, to eat . Large screen TV surrounded by two couches is a great place to gather and watch a movie. Wonderful place to have a romantic get away or a family reunion. So reception is wonderful, we do not provide Internet or Wi-Fi. It is a great unconnected get away.

Two large table and chairs, one on the large deck and one under the trees. Gas BBQ on small covered deck and wood fire pit out in the open for outdoor cooking. Also have horseshoe pits for some family fun. Just come and enjoy the clean mountain air, watch hundreds of different species of birds fly around or watch the beautiful sunset over Mt. Mcloughlin. Take your morning coffee and read the signs across the street.

If you are a hunter, fisherman, cyclist, hiker or just need a break from everyday life, you will love it here, at the cabin, life seems to take on a new meaning, so much to see, hear, smell and do.

Snow Park for winter fun, mushroom hunting in the spring, wild flowers to enjoy. Summer offers cooler tempertures at 4300 elevation, yet warm enough to swim at one of the local waters. Klamath Lake, Lake of the Woods, Fish Lake, Howard Prairie, Seven Lakes Basin and others are all an easy drive from the cabin. Just across the hwy 140 is Crater Lake zip line .The fishing and hunting both in this reigion are like no where else. The Rogue River Valley is just 45 min. away west on Hwy 140. Klamath Falls east on Hwy 140 just 30 min. Have a vacation you will never forget. It truly is God's country. May you love your time there as much as we do. Bring your friends and family or enjoy some alone time, either way it will be a worth while experience. Looking forward to sharing with you this little piece of joy that we found.

God Bless

About Greg and Debi

I grew up in the rogue valley and in my travels working as a self employed logger found this beautiful area known as Rocky Point and fell in love with it. In work, hunting, fishing and living there found some old properties to buy, and made some life long freinds. Now living back in the Rogue Valley wanted to spend some time in Rocky Point again.

Greg and Debi purchased this cabin in 1985

Why Greg and Debi chose Klamath Falls

About early 2012 my sweetie and I decided to fix it up and decorate this cabin, which is now called by are family 'THE CREATIVE CABIN'. It is a labor of love as are family watched this cabin get a face lift, we all started to fall in love with it and now is a place for everyone to feel comfortable, and at home. It has became a place the entire family can go to be together. There are things to do for everyone.

What makes this cabin unique

The outside fire pit is a nightly must, room for everyone to sit and tell stories and laugh under the beautiful sky and crystal clear air.

The cabin is centrally located close to the road, but very quiet. Everything you need is already waiting for you, grab your clothes and favorite play gear. Plan your meals ,bring groceries and beverages. Large grocery store about 30 min. away in Klamath Falls. Small mini mart and liquor store 5 min. away on Hwy 140. This place is so fun. Klamath lake a short drive to boat ramp, best fly fishing around short walk to marsh lands, picture taking and bird watching are excellent. Lake of the Woods and Fish Lake only about 15 min. away just west on Hwy 140 great fishing and good food. There is so much to do, cycling, hiking, riding quads. Staying in and relaxing, kicking back with your sweetie or a group of good friend is hard to beat in this wonderful cabin. Winter at the cabin is so warm and cozy, after spending the day snow mobiling ,hunting, ice fishing or any of the many winter activities. May we all find a place to enjoy all our family together, this is the place.

Very quiet, cozy, and relaxing.

  • 5 of 5

We live nearby in Medford, but wanted a weekend getaway to unplug and relax. This cabin was ideal! Very clean and well appointed with kitchen ware, towels, etc. Our teenage boys were disappointed at first at the lack of WiFi. However, they were quick to find board games and even played horseshoes for the first time. That was exactly what we were hoping for.

Some snow had fallen the last night we were there. Debi was very gracious and told us to check out later if needed, when the roads were more clear.

We will definitely stay again. Maybe in the spring or summer when the zip line, nearby, is open.

Comfortable for our family

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at the Creative Cabin for 6 days in August. It is a very close drive to Crater Lake and also to some lovely places to kayak. We didn't do any hiking as the air quality was poor due to the smoke from nearby wildfires. The cabin had everything we needed, beds were comfortable. There is an expensive gas station nearby but no grocery stores (closest is Klamath Falls) at all so bring everything you'll need. It is right on the road but there is almost no traffic on the road, especially at night. It is surrounded by gravel so there is really no possibility to set up a tent for extra people but there is room to park an RV. No internet was great and the kids enjoyed watching some old VHS movies. A blast from my past!

Lovely Cabin set in quiet location in Woodland

  • 5 of 5

Well equipped house in beautiful woodland area. Area teeming with wildlife. Lots of birds, and one morning an Elk was feeding outside the house! Despite the weather being very hot and air conditioning not being available, the Cabin was cool inside, and we didn't need to even use the supplied fans. Within an easy (~1hr) drive of Crater Lake, one of the most spectacular sights I have ever seen.

It was only a pity that some days were hazy, due to smoke from forest wildfires. Would thoroughly recommend this place!

Note also that there are not many restaurants in the area, and the nearest shop providing food is a 30 minute drive away in Klamath Falls. This didn't bother us, but it may not suit everyone.

We had a lovely time at the cabin in the woods! Our large family was so impressed with the area and the lovely quietness of the area. The two rooms held all our kids (4 kids plus a niece!) and it was perfect little kitchen for the family. We enjoyed the movie nights and it was the perfect amount of time to crater lake and ashland! Thank you so much!

Cute rustic cabin in surrounded by beautiful nature

  • 5 of 5

The area around the cabin in great. Super accessible to lots of outdoor things. The hosts are super sweet and helpful with providing necessary I formation. The cabin is cute and homey and more spacious than I anticipated. I wish I would have brought a bigger group to be honest to enjoy the yard games and porch. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook at home. I would definitely recommend this place it's a great value

Rocky Point is a small community located just off Hwy 140 between White City and Klamath Falls. Just a short drive to Crater Lake a great day trip. Arnold Palmer designed golf course Running Y east on Hwy 140 is world renowned. Dinner at Fish Lake is worth the short trip, prime rib that melts in your mouth. Ashland is about a 45 min. drive, a great walk around town and home of the famous Shakespeare plays. Best of all is the crisp clean fresh mountain air to enjoy. Winter through summer it holds a great deal of beauty. Hiking wilderness trails or to the top of Mt. Mcloughlin, wandering the marsh land of Klamath Lake in a canoe, fly fishing or watching the flames of the fire pit under the bright stars of the mountain sky. You will find no place like this to take your family and just have fun.
