Overall, nice place.
This place was great! 5 Bedrooms & 3 full bathrooms, not to mention the beautiful artistic decor. The hostess thought of everything, the place is homey, comfortable, roomy, private and clean. The garden is gorgeous. We throughly enjoyed our stay and so did our familes. This was a great find for a graduation celebration! It was truly perfect.
Great property with pretty much everything you would ask for. Spacious backyard, basement with ping pong table, multiple bedrooms, open living area and more! I would highly recommend this property to anyone that is trying to go back to Ann Arbor for a game, or just a general reunion!
Our family had a wonderful stay in this home for a long weekend to celebrate the graduation of our youngest from U of Michigan. The location is fabulous. Nature surrounds you. The setting is among trees and birds. It is convenient for car, uber and walking access to campus and the Arboretum. We flew into Detroit and got to the home easily. And we found it stocked with more than we needed - coffee (yay!), milk for coffee, condiments, paper towels, and all those things you don't really want to pack in a suitcase. The kitchen was fully equipped. The house is perfect for entertaining (we grilled chicken, roasted Vidalia onions - we are from the South, steamed green beans, etc.). The refrigerator was large enough to stock all our items and chill the beverages we needed for our cookout. We could set entertaining space up both inside and out, both on main floor and downstairs.
My husband's somewhat messed up spinal discs make him a discriminating judge of beds and he found our bed to be just right and he was happy. Linens and towels were great. Storage places in closets and drawers helped us keep our own things tidy and easy to find. The welcome note explained things like lights, locks and back doors, and tv's which we didn't use but looked great. The owner/manager was also kind enough to find a couple of things we left behind and sent them to us quickly.
Our family has used VRBO for a couple of graduations and several weekend and week long escapes in several places in the US. I rank this property very highly compared to all our experiences. If you have time in Ann Arbor and need a place for 5-6+ folks, this place may be ideal for you. The owner/manager team will care for you well.
we rented the house for a weekend visiting our son at the U. we rented bikes and put the car away for the weekend. it seemed a little longer than 2 miles to get to the stadium for the BIG game, and there was some traffic of course-a lot-but it was the way to get there. we shall return!
We stayed at the house for a Michigan football weekend. We invited our 2 adult children & spouses and our 90 year old father. The house was so comfortable for all of us. The grounds were beautiful. The bird watching was great. My father could not go to the game, but several of us stayed and watched it on the huge TV while sitting in great comfy chairs. What I loved most about the house was the extra large family portrait/painting in the dining room. That piclture shows a very happy family! We will be back again.
