Located 18 minutes from charming historic Chestertown, Maryland, Mill Creek House is a contemporary waterfront house with dock. Bald eagles and herons fly overhead, plus it's on the route of thousands of Canada geese. Wildlife abounds! Perfect for a family vacation or a personal reflective getaway. Awesome dock and couple of minutes for the historic city of Chesterton. The home is 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom.
We currently live in Charleston, South Carolina.
Stephanie Aston-Jones purchased this house in 2012
We bought the Kasota Road house for our future retirement home. The eastern shore of the Chesapeake is our favorite place on earth!
We've sailed our boat in the area for years and always thought the house was beautiful. When we discovered it was for sale we snapped it up without a second thought and we couldn't be happier.
My husband and I had a very relaxing few days in this most idealic spot right on the water. Clean and modern with stunning picture window views and comfortable surroundings. Stephanie was prompt and gracious. If you like quite, peaceful getaways, short hops to restaurants and shops in Chestertown, you have found your place. We will definitely come back!
We loved being in this house, and hope to visit again. The architecture is beautiful, interesting and functional. The outdoors is with you in every space, and the dock is a little piece of heaven. Kayaking on the creek was so easy and fun, and just hanging out in the living room or and screened in porch was relaxing and creatively inspiring. We were incredibly lucky to see the supermoon-blood moon that won't happen again until 2033 from the dock, with the light reflecting off the water all around us. Thank you for sharing your home!
I cannot say enough great things about this rental!!!! Description is very accurate and I agree with all the reviews from previous renters. This is an awesome home and area and we will not hesitate to rent from Stephanie again in the future!!!!!
Pictures don't do this home justice. My wife and I decided to split the week up. One half with kids, one half adult only. We reside in the Lehigh Valley and didn't feel the drive was too difficult to come back midweek and drop off the kids. The home was clean, fully stocked with all supplies and had a warm and cozy feeling to it. The owners were more than accommodating, answered any questions in a matter of moments. The only regret that I had was, I should have taken more vacation time. We're boaters and rented a slip at the nearby marina which was a great experience as well. I would certainly come back and stay again.
We spent the memorial Day weekend at this beautiful house. Right on the water with excellent views from any room. Every room is very clean & beautifully decorated. There's a nice dock to sit & relax on, fish & launch the kayaks from. The house is very roomy with a large deck & screened in porch which we took advantage of. The area is very quiet, private & wildlife abounds. The close by town of Chestertown along the Chester river, is a charm and you can find anything needed for the trip or just relaxing sitting by the river. Stephanie & Mary are so easy & awesome to work with. We took lots of pics & created great memories. There is nothing but positives to say about this fantastic property. It was the perfect getaway & we will be back.
My husband and I looked forward to our trip to the Eastern Shore of Maryland throughout the spring and early summer: we love the area; and based on the description of this house, we knew that all our needs could be met here. We were certainly not disappointed! The house is lovely, and it has all the amenities anyone could need. Both bedrooms are tastefully decorated, and the views from all areas of the house are gorgeous. Our dog enjoyed the house, as well, and we had fun walking her around the area. The only reservation we have in recommending this property to everyone involves the only means of access between the two floors: inside the house, the only way to move from one floor to the other is via a spiral staircase. We did not have any issues with this, but our dog did--and so would anyone who has to use assistive aids (walker, crutches) to walk. Fortunately, our dog weighs only about 25 pounds, and we were able to carry her up and down the stairs. Overall, this vacation ranks as one of our best, and we definitely plan to return to the area. When we do, I know that we will try to book this unit again.
