About Greg and Angela

The saying applies to us that 'We weren't born in the mountains, but we got here as quick as we could!' Greg's first visit to Estes Park was as a 5-year old where he caught some of his first trout just a mile down the road at Marys Lake and he has been coming back every year mostly to hike/photograph in RMNP and of course with the love of his life Angela the past 22-years often times to just take in a good book and coffee next to the river and shops in downtown. We are very happy to be able to share our vacation home, our experiences and our knowledge of the Estes Park area with you.

Greg and Angela purchased this house in 2013

Why Greg and Angela chose Front Range

Estes is the perfect location to visit for those who want to get away from it all or for those on the other side of the spectrum who want to enjoy all the fun of a historical Colorado town. Our home is offered with both of you in mind and we hope you enjoy your stay!

What makes this house unique

This is your home away from home. Perfectly located and just minutes away from Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, it offers great access to the beauty of the area without having to go through town each time. When you want to head to town for a wide variety of entertainment, shopping or restaurants just take a very short drive to the east!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Very Spacious and Comfortable for all six of us. We loved the mountain decor and really appreciate the well equipped kitchen. It is great fun to sit on the patio and watch the finch and hummingbirds at their feeders.

Nine Days was not enough!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our gift to our children was celebrating the holidays for the first time in Estes Park. And this home was a great choice. We had four couples and two grandchildren and there was room for everyone. Great location to Rocky Mountain National Park or an easy drive to downtown Estes. This home has it all, hot tub, fireplace, great views out of every window and room for everyone to spread out. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with, but really didn't need him until it snowed a foot....and he had the drive cleared the next morning. We really would have stayed longer, but the next guest had already booked the dates. Make sure you book extra days, you'll be glad you did.

My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the Aspen Mountain Home. A fantastic home that is well kept, and truly feels like home. Great ammentities from the hot tub to the fireplaces. Great location, makes you feel like you are in the mountains and private, yet it's less than 2 miles to the heart of downtown. We look forward to DEFINITELY being back..

Awesome place!

  • 4 of 5

We had an "early" Thanksgiving at this lovely place! The kitchen was VERY well equipped, and had plenty of space to all be involved in the cooking. The house is very comfortable with lovely décor - really enjoyed the hot tub! Location is perfect for RMNP and to explore Estes. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because the exterior could use a face lift, but that really didn't bother us - just dont get fooled by it. You will love it once you walk in the door!

Owner's Response: Jules, Thanks so much for your review and glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration and had everything you needed in our home. Happy you enjoyed our location and hot tub as well however not exactly sure how to respond to the comment about our exterior except that we are out of season now while spring and summer bring out all the vegetation that makes it much more beautiful outside. Our photos do show the exterior in it's current condition and most all find it appealing. Hope to see you again! Greg and Angela

Outstanding views

  • 5 of 5

During our stay we saw elk while in the hot tub and from the front porch. It was amazing. We loved looking out the kitchen window and looking at the changing face in the rock. This home has everything you need and the view from every window were outstanding. The mountains are waiting for your every day hike! Great location you don't have to go through town to get to RMNP. Created many life long memories there!

Beautiful home, spectacular scenery, and awesome wildlife!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great location for relaxing after a day of hiking in RMNP. The home was well equipped for cooking. The view from the back deck in the early morning was beautiful as the sun provided pink and orange hues across the sky as it rose - the face of the mountain greeted us while we had our morning coffee and watched the finches and deer out back. We enjoyed the changing of the aspen leaves on our hikes through RMNP and relaxing in the hot tub when we returned. The day we left there was a large herd (35 or so) of elk that crossed through the front yard. The bull was a 12-point. The bugling of the bull and whistling from the cows was a great way to end our trip. This was our friends' first trip to Estes Park/RMNP and they said next time we come they want to stay here!

Wonderful location and nice roomy home.

  • 4 of 5

The home was perfect for our stay with our daughter, son in law, grand daughter (age 2). Very close to RMNP which allowed easy in and out access with naps back at house. Also close enough to town go spend time shopping and enjoying food out. Greg was great to work with and even helped us get a full size crib delivered and set up!. We saw wild animals in yard and unbelievable sunsets. Very nice appliances. We especially liked having 2 King size beds! The two family-rooms were great to have as well as the child's play area was fun for our granddaughter. I would give 5 star accept some of the accessories like towels and rugs were a bit worn and could use some refreshing.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind review. Glad you had a wonderful time and enjoyed our home. We did immediately make sure to pull out any towels or rugs that may have looked a bit worn. Our housekeeping may have pulled from the wrong area and we do apologize, we always strive to have our home amenities updated and in wonderful condition.
