My husband and I loved our stay in Kapa’a. Brad was very helpful and generous. The place was exactly as listed. We used the BBQs a couple times. We loved the location for all of our adventures as it was centrally located. Beautiful sunrises right from the patio. Enjoyed the amenities of the property particularly the hot tub after our hiking days and the friendly people from all over the world. Didn’t even need the air conditioner at all. Great breeze through the patio door and enjoyed the sound of the ocean to sleep by. We will definitely stay here again.
Michelle, thank you for allowing KrellersGetaway the opportunity to accommodate! Would be honored to host again in the future. Glad to hear all worked out well and you enjoyed the unit!
A gem by the ocean
Very nice little studio right by the beach. You step out of the room and the beach is in front of you. In addition, you can see the sunrise right from the bed. The resort is located in the middle between south and north shore attractions, so you can drive to any point on the island in reasonable time. If you only want to walk, there is a number of restaurants and places selling activities and tours in the walking distance. The owner/manager is very accomodating!
Thank you, Vadim! KrellersGetaway appreciates you allowing us to accommodate. Mahalo!
Excellent property; Centrally located to easily reach all parts of Kauai!
We were very happy with our accommodations in Kauai. I knew I was in the right place the second I walked in the door. Everything looked exactly as in the pictures. The location was awesome for accessing all parts of the island for different day trips. The Coconut Market with shops, grocery, and restaurants as well as the beach are all within steps of the condo.
The queen bed was very comfortable and our 2 boys were satisfied with the pull out sleeper sofa. We had everything we needed for our 5-day stay-- including a couple beach towels which we shared between the 4 of us but were very sufficient.
We arrived after dark but found the directions for getting into the condo easy to follow.
I would be happy to rent from the Krellers again.
Susan, thanks for allowing KrellersGetaway the opportunity to accommodate! You should have each received a beach towel, so am sorry to hear there were only 2 for the 4 of you. For future, guests may contact housekeeping direct to ensure they get the amount of towels and such that they should. All in all, glad to hear everything worked out well and we really do appreciate you using us for your Kauai accommodation needs! Mahalo! Brad
We have stayed in Kapaa and particularly at the Aston Islander several times and love the location. This was a ground floor, walkout condo. I gave it four stars because I think some things could be updated.... newer bedding, add more pillows, provide some shampoo/conditioner, and the curtains were slightly annoying and cumbersome. There was a bit of a musty smell when we arrived but once the fan was on it went away.
As far as the building location, it’s very close to the beach and it was nice to sit on the patio at night enjoying a drink and listening to the waves!
Melanie, thanks for allowing us to accommodate! Additional pillows can be requested through housekeeping and please note to future guests, as it states in the rental agreement, you get enough soap, paper products, small shampoo/conditioner to get you started for a couple/few days, but if anything else is needed over and beyond, it will be up to the guests. We want to keep our rates as low as possible, so that is one way we can do it! Thanks for understanding and mahalo nui!
Great location and value
We were looking for a reasonably-priced studio near the beach with good access to the rest of the island. This unit fitted our needs very well. We really liked being within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, nightlife, and shopping without having to put up with a lot of noise and congestion while we were on the property. The free aprking was a significant plus. We got a nice view of the ocean from the lanai. Brad Kreller was easy to deal with, and we had no issues with him or the unit.
Richard, thank you for allowing KrellersGetaway to accommodate. Means a lot to us. Mahalo!
Smith Family Luau is cool. A bit pricey but a neat experience. We took a Catamaran around Na Pali and it was very nice. So much to do, but must budget as some of the stuff gets expensive. Heck, you could even rent bikes there at the shops at Islander and just ride up north. They just finished miles and miles of a biking trail along the ocean. Good stuff! Snorkeling and beach fun right down the street at Lydgate Park.

IF MONEY IS NO OBJECT - Birds of Paradise is the thing to do !! These are the powered hang gliders which are also well described in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook. It’s hard to describe the feeling and sensation of being out in the open like that and being able to see everything. It’s not cheap though. I think for our 2 rides and pictures, it was almost $800 !! Also, check out Jack Harter’s helicopters, open door. We’ve heard it’s one of the highlights on the island!
Check out http://www.coconutcoasters.com/. Nice trail and you can rent the bikes in Kapa’a town, a nice walk from the complex. Read about Lydgate Park below as well.
Places around the area with great swimming: 1) down the road to Kealia Beach on the other side of Kapa’a town, 2) Wailua at the Coco Palms where there are lifeguards at both but also lots of people, and 3) Lydgate Park about a mile south and great for swimming and snorkeling. You can bike (10-15 minutes) or walk (25-30 minutes) from our complex. It is a GREAT beach and a must see. Ask us about quickest most direct way to get there from our complex, if you choose to bike or walk.
Also, out of the area, Poipu Beach is great for swimming (albeit, busy). Up north, check out Tunnels Beach and Ke’e Beach. All of these places can be seen in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook.
Just discovered this beach: Kalihiwai Beach; AMAZING! In Ultimate Kauai Guidebook as well.
