About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathroom, Sleeps 7 - additional studio available

Just 4 blocks to Pearl Street and 6 blocks to the Ideal Market Shopping Center where there's a neighborhood Whole Foods, florist, dry cleaner, bakery, upscale pharmacy, wine shop, tea house, coffee shop, and more, makes this family home the perfect choice for your visit to Boulder. Walk through beautiful historic neighborhoods to access hiking trails just 15 mins walk from our house.

When you stay at our house, you'll have a true local experience from one of the best locations in all of downtown. You'll be within moments of all the best activities and attractions that our awesome city has to offer.

Some of the jewels of our neighborhood include Cured/Boxcar (where you can get exceptional charcuterie, bread, cheese, coffee, wine, and more), Mateo (excellent Provencal Lunch, Dinner, and Brunch on the weekends), and Frasca (for special occasions).

In addition to the main commercial district of downtown, the proximity to hiking trails, CU, NOAA and NIST is excellent. The Farmer's Market is a delightful walkable destination between April and November, as is the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. North Boulder Park, Salzburg Park, and the Boulder Integral Center are all nearby destinations for parents with little children. Walk directly down 20th Street to CU for the Buff's game or a visit to the CU Art Museum and CU Museum of Natural History.

The kitchen is fully outfitted for cooking with pots & pans, small kitchen appliances (blender, coffee maker, toaster, food processor, etc), kettle, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, baking dishes, serving dishes, measuring cups and spoons, etc. Dishes, flatware, glasses, and mugs are also all on hand.

Every room is decorated with care, and is well suited to families traveling with children. The house is set up to accommodate our family of 4, but if you should need to accommodate 1 or 2 more guests, we can make room in the play room/office area, that is between the kitchen and bedrooms, for a nice double futon with crisp bedding. Travel crib is available upon request. Children's dining chairs furnished, high chair available upon request.

Our King sized bed is made of natural latex, organic wool, and cotton, and is protected by a premium wool mattress pad. We have 2 different weights of down comforters for the King bed - a down blanket, and an extra luxurious down comforter for the Winter. All our beds are appointed with 100% cotton sheets with duvets and duvet covers.

The children's bedroom has twin bunk beds and room in the closet & dresser to put away clothes. We routinely read books to both the little ones in the bottom bunk, so a child or adult would be okay in this bed.

Each summer we have a vegetable garden which our guests are welcome to enjoy. It changes from year to year, but in general we have sour cherries for 4th of July, Apples in mid-late Summer, tomatoes, basil, sage, oregano, chard, and kale. We sometimes have cucumbers, melons, and more.

There is an additional fully finished studio bedroom that can be rented for an additional $350/month with a king size bed, TV, couch and desk.

Room for 3 cars in the driveway plus plenty of parking on the street as well.

Happy & Cozy Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

When our family decided to travel to CO to explore Boulder and see friends, we first searched hotels for the four of us. But I am so very glad we decided to turn to Home Away and found this little gem. Our location was fantastic. The home itself was clean, comfortable, stylish, cozy, and offered the perfect space for our young children to sleep peacefully at night while mom and dad had a glass of wine and had evening visits with friends. The kitchen had everything we needed, as we cooked all our meals at the house. It was open to the living space and helped us laugh and stay connected. And the living & dining space off the kitchen was truly spacious and comfy. We never even touched the television! Our son was so happy to have some toys to play with while at the house - and the generous owners even provided a pack n' play for our infant daughter to sleep in. We left feeling happy and grateful. A wonderful trip to an awesome city - and a very pleasant stay in this lovely home.

So comfortable and easy

  • 5 of 5

We loved our almost-week in this sweet bungalow in Boulder! Having grown up here, we were familiar with the town, but not this neighborhood. Great time enjoying the home, the neighborhood, family, etc. And even catching a glimpse of the sweet cat who makes this area "home". Truly appreciate the efficiencies built in to the home, and the comforts provided. It was lovely, and we'll definitely look to see if it is available when we come back to see family in the future.

Great location & plenty of comfortable space for two

  • 3 of 5

The PROS are: Great location, walk to Pearl St. and to Moe's Bagels; property was clean; large comfortable living space; king bed; adequate kitchen; quiet neighborhood; on Bus route.

The Negatives are: Glass bathroom cabinet door has sharp corners, causing an injury; foot of the bedframe is very close to dresser causing you to bang your leg walking around it; thermometer was set on 80 every morning (too hot); toaster didn't work; added microwave smelled musty and moldy; no counter storage space in the bathroom.

Owner's Response: Hi Arthur, Thank you so much for being our guest and for taking the time to write us a review. We're sorry that you found the microwave to have a musty odor, but we want you to know that we bought it brand new at Target for your stay, per your request. We like it to be cozy and warm when we wake up in the morning in the Winter, which is why the thermostat was set to kick on at 80 first thing in the morning during your stay in November, but the Nest smart thermostat can be adjusted to any program or temperature that our guests prefer and we are happy to help our guests find the perfect temperature during their stay - please reach out to us any time for assistance . Regarding the toaster, we wish you would have let us know during your stay that it wasn't working so we could have replaced it for you :-) We're very sorry, it was totally functional when we were home and no one let us know it wasn't working until now. We'll take care of it immediately. It sounds like someone may have chipped the mirror door of the medicine cabinet in the bathroom and we're very sorry to hear you knicked yourself! We'll fix it when we're home in a couple days, thank you for letting us know! We're also sorry you found the bed frame to be close to the dresser. This is a cozy historic home and we thought it better to have the King bed and storage in the dresser as opposed to a smaller bed and/or less storage for clothes so we opted for this layout. Sometimes the bed can come off of the wall a couple inches in which case it can be pushed back to created more space there. Thanks again so much for being our guest and for your feedback. We are always striving to make our home better for our guests. Kind Regards, Whitney & Oliver

Comfortable, quiet and a great location!

  • 5 of 5

Great location for our stay in Boulder. The bungalow was clean and well maintained within pleasant walking distance to Pearl Street. Both the house and the beautifully landscaped yard were comfortable places to hang out. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the utensils needed for cooking. Oliver was incredibly accommodating and available if we needed anything.

This is an ideal situation for 2-4 people, the perfect size. Really enjoyed being here!!

Robert, Arlington, MA.

Felt very much at home for the Christmas holidays

  • 5 of 5

We were there for 8 days over Christmas. Five of us - three generations. We very much enjoyed the home and the location was excellent - very near a Boulder Rec Center with little kid swimming accommodations in addition to all of the adult facilities. Also, walking distance to coffee, quality food and more; can walk to Pearl Street, too.

Only concern was a single bathroom could be crowded for five. Otherwise, would stay there again in a heartbeat.
