- A Bear’s Den Cabin – House Rules: WE WANT YOUR MOUNTAIN VACATION TO BE AS RELAXING AND CAREFREE AS POSSIBLE, SO PLEASE TAKE TIME TO REVIEW OUR CABIN RULES AND REGULATIONS. WE WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. THANKS FOR CHOOSING US FOR YOUR RETREAT TO THE BEAUTIFUL BLOWING ROCK & BOONE AREA! A Bear’s Den Cabin Rentals abides by the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act. Please take the time to read the entire agreement. Your rental agreement constitutes your acceptance of all rules and regulations. RESPONSIBLE PARTY & LIABILITY - The person in whose name the property is reserved is responsible for all occupants complying with rules, policies and procedures. Except normal wear and tear, damages to property and its’ contents are the responsibility of the tenant during occupancy period. PETS – Pets must be approved in the rental agreement by appearance of a pet fee. Pets are not allowed unless approved in advance. SMOKING – To maintain the high quality of our cabin there is No Smoking. CLEANING - Housekeepers provide a general cleaning to the cabin. Tenants are expected to wash all dishes, collect garbage and leave the cabin in the same condition as found. Garbage should be taken to the dumpster which is located onsite in the big curve as you climb Apple Ridge Lane. Any extra cleaning or disposal of trash fees ($7 per bag for trash removal) will be deducted from the security deposit. LINENS - As a convenience to our guests, linens and towels are provided in the cabin at no cost. However, the tenant is expected to pay for any damaged or missing linens. SAFETY - Please lock the cabin doors when you are not home. We have never had a problem with theft; please help us keep it that way. LONG DISTANCE PHONE CALLS - A phone is provided in the cabin and all local calls are free. The phone line does not have a long distance carrier so please plan to use a credit card or call collect for any long distance calls. CHECK IN/OUT – Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM on arrival date. Please see the Welcome letter for specific instructions. Prior to check out, please leave the thermostat in each room set on 55 degrees. Check out time is 10:00 am on the last day of your reservation. Keys should be returned to the Blowing Rock Resort Rentals office. Failure to do so will result in a $10 charge per key. CANCELLATIONS - Cancellations and date changes must be received at least 30 days prior to dates of occupancy. A WORD ABOUT THE WEATHER - Our mountain weather can be quite unpredictable and totally out of our control! We can have rain and fog at any time of the year and you MUST be prepared for snow and icy conditions during the winter months (and sometimes late fall and early spring!) Although the roads leading to the cabin are maintained during snow and ice, come prepared to drive in wintry weather conditions. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER! MISCELLANEOUS - While we try to remedy problems within our control as quickly as possible, refunds will not be given in the event of breakdown of appliances or electronics, construction taking place in area, power/cable outages, or tenant dissatisfaction with décor or furnishings. If you make a mess that will damage our home if not cleaned promptly, please clean it up. We have no desire to charge for accidental damages. Our primary concern is to ensure our next guests have an enjoyable experience.
