Harsens Island is paradise that is just a ferry ride away. You can walk to the turn-around to view the two Lighthouses, enjoy all the wildlife, fishing, and water activitys. Parking for a small fishing boat 15' to 25 outboard.
Our house is located on a canal with access to the South Channel and Muskemoot Bay in Lake St. Clair. There is a smaller house on property that we will be fixing up for our use. There is a fire pit, and small play scape.
I grew up on Anchor Bay. The water feels like home to me. Harsens Island was a trip we could make that was not that far, but you felt like you were in another state.
Catherine and Jay Monday purchased this house in 2007
The 9 neighbors we have are family. They watch out for you, and if you need anything its yours. The Old Club it is a very unique boat club is right down the street.
There is nothing better than sitting on the porch under the huge willow tree and listening to the sounds of the island.
This is the 2nd time I've rented this house. Everything is always clean and functional. I've not had any complaints or problems. I plan to stay there again if possible.
Catherine and Jay, Thank you for another wonderful stay. Cottage was perfect, as usual. We will be contacting you soon for next year's visit.
Thanks Catherine and Jay for a clean and great place to stay while we were on our 4 day fishing trip. If you love the outdoors, this is the place to spend sometime. Thanks!
We came up for a fishing trip. One couldn't beat the location. The owners replied immediately to our request. Easy check in and out. Kitchen was very issue to use when we fried up our walleyes.
Love sitting on the porch in the shade with a very nice cool breeze off the lake. If we come back, we would definitely stay there again.
House was clean. Bed comfortable. The only worry that we had was the ferry, but it ran all the time, and we never had to wait. It was the easiest ferry to use.
The cottage had everything anyone could possibly need for sleeping, cooking & relaxing. The weather was in the 90's but with the windows open, a nice breeze came through the cottage from the lake.
Lots of parking and a large yard with a swing set and bonfire pit. We had a 25 foot boat that we were able to dock there with no problems.
Great experience overall!
Muskemoot Bay raft off is right in our back yard. The School House restaurant a great place to eat. You can walk down the driveway to the turn around and take a beach chair, put it in the water to watch all the action. You can also walk out in the water to all the action.
