About Julie, Amy, Tricia, or Tierney

About: My wife and I moved to Bear Lake about 7 years ago and started Bear Lake Cabin Rentals about 6 years ago. We love the Bear Lake area. The lake is such a beautiful blue and the area is so nice and charming. The winters can be cold but they are so peaceful and uncongested. It is a great place to get away from the busy city life.

Why Garden City:

We enjoy managing properties for people and not only building a relationship with the owners but all the great guest that stay with us. We have a lot of people that come back year after year to enjoy all that Bear Lake has to offer

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:

During the summer months there are tons of great outdoor activities. There is the Minnetonka cave, tons of hiking and biking trails. A huge beautiful lake for boating, water skiing and wake boarding. In the winter Beaver Mountain is just 15 minutes up the canyon and is an undiscovered treasure for the ski or snowboard enthusiast. There are hundreds of miles of terrain for snowmobiling and some great sledding hills too.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We have a lovely stay, we couldn't find a cutting board but other than that we had a great time.

Extended family vacation

  • 4 of 5

We were disappointed to find that the housekeeping staff hadn't made up 3 of the beds for our grandchildren - just the mattresses. The loft beds weren't useful -the area was too small for even children to sleep.

Nice Experience

  • 3 of 5

The cabin is a quite dated, but clean. The beds were all comfortable. Kitchen is small, but had all of the items needed for cooking. Other rooms are also a bit small. The layout is odd, with the main bathroom right next to the kitchen and main floor bedroom. The wood burning stove is in a high traffic spot. We stubbed our toes a bit on the hearth. Plus, for a house sleeping 12+ people there is only one shower. Not too convenient. The deck is very spacious, with great views. But, in much need of repair. You were afraid to walk on the deck barefoot due to the pealing paint, nail heads sticking up, and potential for wood slivers. The biggest plus is the yard. The volleyball court is great. Plenty of space for lawn games. And the Jacuzzi tub is great. The house fills the bill if you're planning a lot of lake activities, and other outdoor fun. Sort of cramped for groups over 8 people.

A great memory

  • 4 of 5

We had one of our best Christmas get together here. Very rustic and soft feel at the cabin. So easy to have a good time and relax in the jacuzzi. We loved the cabin and our stay. Thank you so much for such short notice. We will be back!!!

Happy Renter

  • 5 of 5

The home was beautiful and it was a treat to be able to spend precious family time at such a nice place. The children really enjoyed the playground. The view of Bear Lake from the deck is spectacular. There was plenty of room for the adults so relax and visit. We had a wonderful weekend and hope to return at some point.

Bear Lake is often called the Caribbean of the Rockies for its intense turquoise blue water. As visitors catch their first glimpse of the lake, they marvel at its color and wonder what makes the lake so blue.

Sitting on one of its many white sandy beaches, you can imagine yourself on your own little island. Each season lends its own characteristics to the lake. You can enjoy a number of recreational and cultural activities year-round. Experience the rush of snowmobiling. Ski some of Utahs best powder just minutes away. Jet ski across the turquoise water. Sail off into the sunset. Explore America’s past and discover the stories of the hearty souls that settled this area.

Take some time during your own favorite season and enjoy yourself at Bear Lake in our luxurious lodging.

My personal recommendations as to what everyone needs to do in Bear Lake includes:

-Eat a raspberry shake

-Visit Minnetonka Cave

-Boat or seadoo on the beautiful water

-Look for the Bear Lake Monster

-Watch a play at Pickleville Playhouse

-Snowmobile in the 100s of miles of groomed trails
