A fully-equipped kitchen is ready to satisfy your home-feeding needs, so you might find it difficult to leave the house! Three delicious bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms ensure you will stay clean and relaxed. Two dining areas beckon for meals, games, or work groups, with a capacity for a dinner party for 10. Go ahead and get as dirty as you want, because the washer and dryer is at your disposal as well. This newly-remodeled home will provide you with everything you need for a comfortable and unique visit to the Music Capitol of the World.

The master suite has a brand-spankin-new king-sized bed, full-sized bathroom and a large porch and seating area overlooking the backyard. The two other bedrooms come equipped with brand-new beds as well--a queen-sized bed, two twin beds (or a full--you choose!), and all rooms have plenty of closet space. The living room and TV area is ready with a large flat-screen, AppleTV, and WiFi.

I came to the University of Texas 40 years ago, fell in love with this town and never left. I've lived in Travis Heights for the majority of those 40 years and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

I'm a professional private chef and my husband owns a build and design company. We support local businesses and are big proponents of the local food movement.

What makes this house unique

This is a very special home in the heart of the best neighborhood in Austin. The property has a fantastic floor plan conducive to socializing, working, and relaxing, and an awesome upstairs patio that makes you feel like you're in a tree house. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, so if you are sitting on the front porch having a coffee or cocktail, be sure to wave hello to the neighbors out for a stroll!

Nice home and location, would stay here again.

Our family enjoyed a great stay. He house is a good base for exploring Austin. All together, we were five adults, and were very comfortable here. We had a rental car, but the area it is quite walk-able, for those inclined. Easy walking distance to SoCo, which has tons of eateries and little shops. The house was clean and well located, close to the airport, I35, SoCo, downtown, etc. I would recommend this VRBO to friends.

Great Property for Family of Five!

This is a wonderful property that is situated in a great spot! (walking distance to SOCO) Our family of five stayed here with plenty of room~ we were visiting family nearby, so it was close and easy to come and go. The owners were very easy to work with, and the house was clean and ready for a early check-in! We will plan to stay here again~

Funtimes celebrating another decade

Six of us stayed comfortably with plenty of room to relax. The owner knew we were celebrating a birthday milestone and left beautiful mini-cakes and champagne in the frig for us. How sweet! House has a patio (with grill and table) and a deck that provides a perfect setting for morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails. Kitchen is well equipped, bathroom linens plentiful, beds very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and near South Congress Street. We drove only because of the rain but there is a shoulder and a bike lane along the road to access that area. It was really nice to be near downtown.

Great place

This house was perfect for our needs. An Austin real estate buddy said we'd love Travis Heights. He was right! Close to the action of South Congress and beyond, but such a quiet neighborhood. Wonderful Austinesque older homes that have been made cutting edge cool. House is hard up against a beautiful green space. I know it's the Hill Country, but the verticality was a challenge and fun for us on our single speed bikes. Old and well manicured oaks and other hard woods around all the homes complete the picture.

The most well equipped rental we've had the pleasure to stay. All the I's are dotted and the T's crossed. Plenty of room for guests to have their own space. We had our son and daughter in law in from DC and they loved the whole experience. Whether the upstairs in the trees deck off the master bedroom, the front porch, or the over the top well supplied kitchen -- it was all good. We'll be back
