This house was a great place for our family of 6 adults and 4 kids. Lots of space, comfortable beds, quiet and private.Owner could not have been more welcoming and caring. We attended a family wedding in Highland and really enjoyed our stay. Lots of outdoor and indoor space. Sizable kitchen and dining room areas. Nice decks with adequate seating. I would highly recommend this property.
A lovely, spacious house with lots of windows (tons of sunlight). Well equipped kitchen too!
My family (from New Jersey, NYC, and north of Boston) gathered for some time together for Thanksgiving. The layout of the house worked well for us (12 of us from late 60's down to 1) for dining (separate dining room), sleeping (comfortable beds), and just being together (spacious fireplaced great room). Mikki provided a large pan to cook the turkey, a contact for firewood, and literature for things to do in the area. We all appreciated having such a convenient, comfortable home to celebrate our Thanksgiving!
We were looking for a comfortable and roomy place to take the family away as our kids are growing up and leaving the house. The location was perfect to have access to the beauty of the Hudson Valley and was a perfect base. The house was comfortable and clean and spacious and we had the space, amenities and privacy for a wonderful weekend to spend quality family time together. Mikki was wonderful and attentive to anything we needed and we would highly recommend this for anyone looking to get away in the Hudson Valley.
What a wonderful getaway for the whole family in this beautiful and comfortable home with the woods as your backdrop and an Ulster County location that can't be beat. So many places to sit and gather indoors and out. Mikki thought of everything and gave wonderful suggestions for local recreational activities. I hope to come back again soon!
We had such a fantastic stay. The house is perfect for entertaining and Mikki was gracious and helpful in suggesting resources for us. The house was comfortable and open which made entertaining easy and relaxed. The grounds were perfect for outdoor games. Highly recommend staying here.
Due to some last minute unexpected circumstances, we needed a place near New Paltz for the Christmas/New Year's holiday - to accommodate an extended family of 12 twelve! (in various shifts), ages 1 to 85.
We were very fortunate to find this delightful hideaway, and thankful that it not only filled the need collectively, it suited each and every one individually. Throughout our stay we marveled how everyone found their own niche to make themselves most comfortable. Be it fireplace warmth, downstairs seclusion, kitchen creativity or at the barbecue for beers, there were smiles all around for the Holidays.
We'll definitely be back, and we're all looking forward to it.
