The views are awesome and the property feels like a real coastal home!
Waterfront. Easy access to historical low country towns of Port Royal or Beaufort. Close to Charleston SC and Savannah Georgia. Nice waterfront towns with great sight seeing, restaurants, bars and shopping.
The house was clean and nestled on the water. It easily and comfortably slept six with plenty linens for all. The kitchen was fully equipped. The owners were friendly and very accommodating. There was ample place to lounge and stretch our legs after busy days on Parris Island. Several restaurants are just minutes away.
This house is FABULOUS! So close to Parris Island, we needed LESS THAN 5 minutes to get there. Believe me, getting up way before daylight to get to the Moto Run and Graduation - it was wonderful just being minutes away. We could even see the bridge to see if the line had started yet to get through the gate.
We brought our new Marine over to the house after graduation - He was so funny - he's looking out over the marsh AT PARRIS ISLAND and said, if I knew it was this close, I could have swam over to see you!
I HIGHLY recommend it. So comfortable and once you cross the bridge into Port Royal, it's the first house on the right. So easy. The beds are SO comfortable and the Carolina Room was so relaxing - just sitting and thinking about my son being just across the water was a blessing. There are two small piers and my grandson had a great time playing on the piers.
You'll love this house - I guarantee it! Also, being just off the main road made it so easy for us to get around to the other places we needed to go. The owners was extremely nice and easy to rent from.
Please - if you're going to PI Graduation - THIS IS THE PLACE. You will be pleased!
We stayed here 2 nights for our son's graduation from Parris Island. We couldn't have been happier with this rental property. The house was super spacious! Anything and everything you need is there, including tons of blankets, pillows, towels, and cookware. The view was fabulous! The deck was perfect, the sunroom incredible and cozy on the chilly nights! The distance to Parris Island was seriously less than 5 minutes! We will definitely stay here again when our next son graduates! The listing says 9 people, we ended up having 12 and everyone fit comfortably. The owners were super fast on replies to inquiries, gave great recommendations on places to eat, and were thoughtful enough to wish our son well! Fabulous place! I would rate more stars if I could!
This house was a God-send. Exactly what we needed for MCRT Graduation. And the access to PI was AH-MAZING!!! Clean and beautiful home. Hostess was more than helpful!
I STRONGLY recommend this home to anyone looking for a place in this area!
Beautiful house. Great family to work with. Very close to Parris Island! Plan to stay with them again!
This house is absolutely the closest rental to Parris Island and actually overlooks PI. The property is located next to a busy four lane, but road noise is only audible from outdoors. The home is located on an unpaved road with a few other houses. The house is exactly as pictured, except more roomy than expected. There is a large foyer with a table that is great for purses and car keys and such. The kitchen is big and has more than the basics. Check the pantry before going to the grocery store. Bi-Lo is the closest. The ice maker didn't work, but we bought a bag of ice and were fine. The dining area is large and has plenty of seating, along with a bar area connected to the kitchen. There are French doors that can be closed to the living area if desired. There is also a cabinet with books and a few games. The living area has two separate seating areas - one with the TV and one with the fireplace. There are two couches and a large comfy chair with an ottoman. French doors open to a glass porch off the living area with rocking chairs and other chairs and small tables. Off the porch is a large patio area with plenty of seating and a table. The backyard is large and overlooks the marsh and Parris Island. At the end of the yard near the marsh is a deck with seating and a table. Next to that, and hidden from view of the home, is an entryway to the dock, which extends into the marsh. Back inside, there are three bedrooms and two baths. One bath is a hallway bath. It has a linen closet with plenty of towels and extra linens. The shower is large, but the shower curtain is too short and has no liner, so water flows into the floor, which was quite annoying. The other bathroom is attached to the bedroom that contains three single beds. It is very small with a stand-up shower. The toilet in this bath clogged the last night we were there and we were not able to plunge it. The room with three singles has two that have extremely squeaky box springs, so that every time someone makes even the slightest movement, others in the room are annoyed. Those two beds were ok, but not great in terms of comfort. The third bed is a day bed and is comfortable. Underneath that one there is a single mattress that can be used on the floor or with the frame that is in the closet. The other bedrooms are fine. I would definitely rent here again.
Historical Port Royal and Beaufort . Less than 1.5 miles from Parris Island MCRD gate. Horse buggy tours in downtown Beaufort. Historical museum.
