Why Brandie Hoyt chose Olympic Peninsula & Pacific Coast

My husband built our home from the ground up with his two hands he loves to fish and loves the river so he picked the location it was his before i came along. We decided to turn half of our property to a camp ground to creat an experance of a stress free camping trip without all the extra luggage we have it for you here!

What makes this cottage unique

The veiw of the Sol duc river, the smell of the salt water in the air from the beaches all around the off the grid feel away from the rat race!

delightful - full amenity camping!

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED our 3 night stay! All we brought was food - the rest was supplied - a sink, hot water shower tent, gas burners, dishes, cots/air mattress, clean port-a-johns, fire pit w/ wood... there was no electricity (it IS camping), but I didn't want it as it was so peaceful! We could hear the river when we slept... it was delightful. Michelle, the host, was very generous, kind and available. My son ended up playing with her kids. I would happily stay again.

Wonderful experience!

  • 5 of 5

Very helpful hosts, affordable, comfortable. They gave us a choice of two tents, both great, by the river with everything needed. Perfect to get a comfortable tent experience without all the work and equipment! The only issue was that it needed signage to make it easier to find. We'd love to go again and spend longer.

Alternative to a campground, but just as crowded

  • 2 of 5

Okay facilities and equipment. Disappointed by other guests camping in the same area, when we thought we had rented a secluded camping area for our family to explore and enjoy. There were at least 7 other families, making this just another crowded campground.

Owner's Response: Hello Allyson, I apologize you felt that way about your stay. We try and create a great camping experance for all our guests, and have not recived this feedback yet. The winter months we take down some of our tents for the slow seasion I will keep this feedback in mind when setting them back up to create a more private setting for future guests. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback, so we can improve moving forward. Best wishes, Mechelle

Great experience with friends

  • 5 of 5

I came back here after 2 years with more friends. Same good quality glamping like 2 years ago: well-equipt tent, hot shower, heater, kitchen and everything we need were provided. I appreciated they are flexible with one night booking. Definitely, my friends want to come back again.

Glamping at it's best

  • 4 of 5

This is a great experience for people on the go or people that do not have all the camping equipment but want to have the camping experience. Michelle and her family have it all set up for you. The tents are spacious and cozy. So cozy you don't even have to leave them. However the surrounding sites will draw you out. The campsite is on the river and tents are on the rivers edge to fish right from your campsite. Michelle makes sure that you have everything and checks on you on a daily basis to make sure things are going well and you are having a great time. Their outdoor showers are amazing and the firewood is overflowing. No need to bring ANYTHING except food and clothing. You will need to bring towels for the showers, but if you did not have any I am positive she would grab one for you. We had a great time, and got to know the neighbor cows very well. :-)

Glamping on the peninsula

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful couple nights at Michelle's intents camping. She welcomed us, brought us a cooler of ice and some fresh crab and smoked salmon. The tent was stocked with everything we needed. We were on the Sol Duc River which was beautiful and peaceful to hear and see. We would definitely go back again.
