Let your worries float away in the Carrabelle River as you relax at 'The Belle,' a large 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental home that sleeps 5. Treat yourselves to a peaceful getaway in a grand old house that exudes as much historic charm and character as the little fishing town it calls home. Admire the best views in town from 1,200 square feet of covered porch space where you can watch stunning sunsets - all from an unforgettable retreat on Florida's Forgotten Coast.
Master Bedroom: Queen Bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed, New Sleeper Chair
This 1,950-square-foot hideaway is perched high on an ancient sand dune offering total privacy while being right in town. Ideal for 2 couples, the home features a split floor plan with bedrooms on opposite sides of the home. The more spacious master bedroom with an en-suite bath includes 2 rocker-recliners and a flat-screen TV. The second bedroom is adjacent to another full bathroom and laundry facilities, and features a new sleeper chair.
Let your perfect day start with coffee on the porch of your choice. Early birds can catch the sunrise from the little porch swing off the kitchen. From the front porch, it’s fun to watch boats heading out to sea each morning. Beach towels, beach blankets, chairs and umbrella are provided if you want to head out for a day on the sandy shores of nearby beaches.
Retreat to 'The Belle' for easy afternoons overlooking the water. This home boasts most of its original early 1900’s architecture and charm, yet top to bottom restoration completed in 2017 allows you to enjoy all the modern-day amenities expected for an easy vacation. This spacious house with huge porches provides ample space for your group to spread out or socialize.
Gather in the kitchen to begin meal preparations for the evening. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, cherry cabinetry, and expansive granite counters to ensure that cooking for a crowd can be done with ease. Bring your gourmet delights into the formal dining room or wine and dine al fresco on the screened porch.
For a glorious evening head out to the furnished wraparound porch for panoramic views of the sun setting over the Carrabelle Harbor. Turn on the fans, sit back, watch the boats returning and enjoy the quiet. Or venture out for some nightlife!
Carrabelle is overflowing with eco-tourism, and this home is in the perfect spot to explore several important natural environments. You'll be nestled on the edge of Tate's Hell State Forest and Apalachicola National Forest - each hosting some of Florida’s best bird-watching, hiking trails, and bike routes. Kayaking and canoeing are favorites in the region with many options to access the surrounding waterways.
Of course, the beaches are the pride and joy of the Forgotten Coast. Stay local with a day at Carrabelle Beach, just 5 minutes away, or venture a bit further to find the pristine white sand beaches of St. George Island, only 30 minutes away.
Fishing is another main attraction in Carrabelle. ‘The Belle’ has plenty of space for you to store your boat trailer on-site, and is just 1 block from a public ramp! Rentals and charters are readily available too. Spend a rejuvenating day at nearby Dog Island, a beautiful island known for its white sand beaches along with great shelling, crabbing, bird-watching and shore fishing - only accessible by boat. Water taxi service is also available.
Take a leisurely stroll down into town to live like a local for the day. Visit some of the quaint shops and restaurants or utilize the 2 public docks and fish cleaning station. Visit up to 4 museums, a large park and playground that's only 1 block away, and the friendly little library. Don’t forget to get your photo taken at Carrabelle’s claim to fame: The World's Smallest Police Station!
Championship golfing is available at St. James Bay Golf Resort, just east of town. Day trip favorites include Wakulla Springs State Park, Florida’s capitol city of Tallahassee, Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory, St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, and Apalachicola, to name a few.

The owner is terrific and everything was in order. Attention to detail was over the top. Classical beauty and so inviting and relaxing with the grand porch. I don’t know how anyone could not rave about this wonderful place, location and charm. I’ll be back!
