About the Property

Your Own Private Waterfall

Custom Built Log Cabin overlooking your own private waterfall.

The First Fall's Log Cabin in Skamania county is literally a dream come true. Constructed in 2005 with reclaimed Lodge Pole Pine Logs on an as-of-yet undiscovered gem of a property that overlooks it's own private waterfall. It is a romantic get-away at it's finest.

This superb and special place has an amazing ambiance all of it's own. Designed with immaculate attention to detail, epic proportions and natural environmentally considered materials throughout. The unique design of the home features 12' - 16' ceilings with walls of windows filling the space with natural light and overall spaciousness. The stone floors are warm to the touch from the radiant heating beneath your feet and are made from the same Idaho Quartz that was used to construct the unforgettable feature fire place and waterfall shower that makes this property absolutely one-of-a-kind.

The Master Bedroom:

Cozy up with the warmth of the fireplace on a King Size Temperpedic Mattress decorated with fresh top of the line linens and local Pendelton Mill's world famous Chief Joseph blankets. The Master bath adjacent to the room features a one-of-a-kind custom 'Waterfall' shower, quartz countertops, his and her copper sinks and plush premium towels.

The Living Room:
Spaciousness abounds with the floor to ceiling windows that overlook the river and private waterfall right outside. During the day, open the dual-sliding glass doors leading out to the riverside patio and merge inside with outside living for a refreshing sense of extreme peace and openness. The multi-functional dining table can be cleared off for an engaging game of ping-pong or take the table off entirely to reveal a single slate pool table. The Piano in the corner is tuned for the musician in you and is even programmable for favorites when you are too busy to play. When the day is done, snuggle up next to a roaring fire with a glass of wine some chocolates and a good book.

The Kitchen:
Granite countertops and high-end appliances make cooking in this chef’s kitchen an absolute joy. Wake up to premium espresso in the morning and tuck into hot chocolate at night. No detail was overlooked or amenity missed in the design or decoration in this cabin themed kitchen & cutlery.

The Den:
Getting away from it all doesn’t have to mean missing the big game. Open up the cabinet to a big screen TV and kick back in the leather furniture for a home away from home comfort.

The Logs:
The lodge pole pine used to construct the building was originally from the Kahneeta Indian Reservation in Central Oregon and was reclaimed from a dead-tree forest that was victim to beetle infestation which left intricate and intriguing markings on the surface of many of the logs.

The Property:
This a truly special place. Situated on Rock Creek River and encompassing 800 feet of naturally landscaped river front property that is home to two uniquely fascinating waterfall falls and an overwhelming degree of natural scenic beauty. The property is landscaped with native flowering dogwoods, redwood cedars, quaking aspen, native blueberries, flowering rhododendron and vibrant shrubbery throughout. The custom cedar grill hut can be fired up with coal burning stove for a sauna like sweat lodge or simply a glam-camping cookout that you will never forget. Fire pits and Adirondack chairs scattered throughout make for the perfect night of story-telling and stargazing to finish off the night.

Skamania County:
From peace and quiet to outdoor adventure and family fun, the Columbia River Gorge has it all. Seize the day by enjoying some of the many recreational activities and options for a memorable and relaxing retreat. There are plenty of options for outdoor sports like fishing, wind surfing, hiking, white water rafting, hiking and mountain biking to keep you active. Local leisurely relaxation is at it's finest as well with a diverse range of options for wine tasting at local vineyards, spa treatments at the hot springs and even a little souvenir shopping in the scenic river town of Stevenson Washington. If staying close to home is part of the plan feel free to stroll down the river and enjoy swimming and sunbathing around the flat-rocks and swimming holes next to one of the three waterfalls that have made this part of the river one of the best kept secrets for the local community. When the day is done, open a bottle of wine, melt some smores, grab a book from the bookshelf and cozy up to the warmth of a fire indoors or out. The opportunities are endless and the adventure is yours.
