Listing led us to to believe unit was new
Imagine our surprise when it turned out to be a 100 year old cabin. We were also not pleased with the cleanliness or general maintenance of the property.
Needs some work
The cabin, while cozy, needs some structural work. The bed lists down and to one side due to the foundation having sunk. Even just putting something under the low side of the bed would have been helpful. The most uncomfortable night we’ve ever spent in a vacation rental. We left a day early.
the location and front porch were great...
the interior of the cabin was covered in cobwebs, the bed was hard as a rock, the smoke alarm went off every time you took a shower, the refrigerator made noise all night long. It has the potential to be cute but it is just old and tired.
It was very lovely, quite and location was perfect! We felt we were close to anywhere we wanted to go! Perfect for a weekend, we grilled our dinners would suggest the grill to be in better shape, but we made due.
Nice little (very rustic) spot. However the 760.00 for four nights was steep for what we got
There were definitely some surprises. Apparently the stove was being repaired, so we got an electrical burner, which really didn’t do the trick. I spent 50.00 on buffalo t bone steak only to find that it was one small burner (charcoal bbq wasn’t allowed due to fire restrictions). The electrical burner doesn’t really stay that hot too long. So that was a real downer for all of the Fourth of July cooking I’d been planning. The Floor is extremely uneven so the bed is at a huge tilt like on a hill. However the cabin was not without its charm. Nice little covered porch and chairs. Decoration was a blast from the past, but fitting. Sheets, blankets, and mattress could use a upgrade. But the bathroom was decent. All in all a good stay, but the price point was way too high!
